  • Buffalo Hot Wings

I love the taste of these more than any I have had in the restaurants. The secret is in the sauce...and it's bottled...and it has Zero carbs! Weehoo!

This recipe is somewhat off of the bottle, with my variations.

    Hot Wings

2 1/2 pounds of chicken wings (I like the wings/drumette mixture, I get them at Smart and Final)
    1/2 cup Frank's Hot Sauce
    1/3 cup melted butter

Bake wings 1 hour at 425 degrees or deep-fry 12 minutes at 400.
Combine Sauce and Butter over a low heat until butter is melted
Dip and cook wings for a bit over low heat to soak into the skin.

Try not to breathe the fumes...seriously.

To tone down the sauce, you can add more butter. They have different heats, original and extra hot.

Also, they have a website with alot of other recipes on there, I need to try some of them! Here is the link: http://www.franksredhot.com

    Have fun! These are awesome!
Admitting...on April 2010 I have been eating low carb for almost 7 years and the lowest I got to was 145. These last couple of years though I got lazy, and over the course of time, gained back up to almost 170. I am back on induction, a week into it now on 4/22/10, doing excellent and seeing results. Once again, my weight goal is 140.

I just don't have the heart to change the stats below, except I am NOW 46yrs.

I make this recipe alot. I cook for me, my fiancee, his best friend, and his girlfriend. (we all live together) And it is GREAT!! I mean, who doesn't like hot wings? (well at least wings) I make one of those 5 pound bags of frozen wings, and there isn't even any leftover. (the guys eat alot!) I usually make them the fries to go with or velveta shells. Me, I have a salad. I've made many differant recipes for wings before Atkins but this one is still my favorite. Even over breaded before this WOE.

I made these last night. Truthfully these wings tasted very similar to Hooters hotsauce which is about 4 bucks for a jar. Id rather make em with Franks. Its cheaper, and tastes better to me.

This is the same recipe I use for wings, but I put a package of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing in the sauce. It gives it bit of a tangy bite. My mouth is watering just thinking about them!!!
I'm going to do it this time!
