  • Home Made Salsa!

I thought I would post this here since I posted it in menu review

Here is how I make my salsa: (last time I gave it out I forgot the onion! sorry)

    3 Tomatoes
2 jalpeno chiles (more for hotter less for milder)
    1/4 of a medium onion
    2 small cloves of garlic

take all your ingredients and annd wrap them tight in foil paper. Place them on pan and let them cook low for about 10minutes on each side until you feel that the tomatoes are mushy. Make sure all the juices stay in the foil. After pour the juice into a bowl & peel all the ingredients (you do not have to remove all the black stuff) now put the ingredients in the bowl and you can eaither do as I & take a empty tomato sauce with both lids removed and squash it all up so it stays chunky....or you can put it in the blender on low. Add pepper & salt to taste!

            Hey Funky
yeah there is cilantro...but they don't put it in Salsa. They use it in other things like cooking soups & stuff.

              Re: Home Made Salsa!

There´s a Spanish salsa: "green mojo" which has cilantro and is served with fishes:
              Mojo verde:
              4 garlic cloves
              1 tbsp.water
              salt
              4/5 tbsp.cilantro
              2 tbsp. vinegar
              8 tbsp. olive oil
              1 tsp. cummin
Mix well (better in food processor)
I´m my best friend and my worst enemy.

MotherofGizmo: ohh I love cilantro too! but this Salsa is a roasted Salsa, so the taste comes from there, if you put cilantro in it the poor cilantro will wilt.Maybe it can be added once cold hey whatever tickles your taste buds
