  • Whey Protein Pancakes

    I used to make these with Soy I make a HUGE batch you don't have to make it this big but, I make enough for a week.

    12 eggs
    5 Scoops of Whey Protein Isolate
    1/4 cup of oil
    6 packets of sweetner

    Put eggs, oil, and sweetner in Blender turn it on and Slowly add the 5 scoops of Protein powder while the Blender is running. When it gets to the consistancey of pancakes that's what you want.

    Turn on your Skillet to 300F and make sure it's good and hot before you start cooking. These cook extremely fast.

    This Recipe makes 32 pancakes it has 2190 calories 15 grams Carbs, and 244 grams of Protein.

    I hope you enjoy it it's a great thing I like to put whipped cream and strawberries on it or Just use it in place of bread to make quickie sandwiches for on the go. They are a great Grab and go snack at .5 grams of carbs per pancake.

      I'd say just unflavored since you want to be able to use them for savoury and for sweet dishes.
      That is if you make a huge badge of them like this, else I guess you can experiment with the flavours.

        I just use Plain then they are more like bread I find I didn't like the Flavours in them also if you wanna try somehting different you can stir in grated cheese into those so they are cheese cakes or shredded ham and cheese YUM

          What rung of OWL do you have to be on do have these? I am on Dairy Rung, but would love to try these.
          What would we do without it?

            Well they are Basically eggs and Whey so I think as long as you are done Induction it should be ok to have these.

              Hey Sarah, those sound great!

              I have the protein powder but it's in a big bag and no scoop...could you measure the 'scoop' amount and tell me how many Tablespoons that would be?

                SHelly just go Tbs by TBS and add it in till it's the thickness of pancake batter. I think it's about 3 TBS per scoop.

                    ok next week I am going to make these for sure I have this whey sitting there looking at me and I have not tried a thing with it ..so it will be my new adventure to try Sarah's pancakes ..thanks!

                        most low carb cooks use vanillia for sweet recipes and unflavored for savory recipes so you could just use your flavored stuff but your carbs will be higher.

                          You are soooWelcom. If you can't find the Plain whey use the Vanilla But don't put sweetner in it. The only place I can think of that you could get the plain whey is a Bodybuilding superstore they should Most definately have it there that's where I got mine

                              Sarah can you use flax? if so have you tried adding some to your pancakes? I know I get cake if I over reheat my flax PP powder cereals. flax is an egg sub for those needing to watch cholesterol intake.

                              on your PP can what does it say a serving size is? I have everything from 28 gram scoops to 41 gram scoops as a serving. that will help us know how much to add
