We have picked some squash out of our garden, and I would love some ideas of different ways to cook it. I know I can slice it and put butter on it and fry it, but what else can you do with it?

Re: What to do with squash?
I like to steam it slightly, dice it up, and use it like you would pasta, under a spaghetti sauce, or stroganof, or something like that. I especially like zucchini this way, but others are good too.
I also use raw zucchini slices like chips, and eat them with dip. Or I use them in place of crackers and eat with tuna salad or things like that.

What a wonderful veggie you have! Yum!---if you come across spaghetti squash there's some really great recipes I know---but you probably already have those
. I love grilling my squash...it gives it a really nice flavor!

Maybe play squash?

Just kidding with you
Squash is nice for squashing into soups and sauces, esp if you don't like eating them, then squash your squashes and make a nice sauce along with veggies such as celery or whatever you can find to thicken a sauce.

Re: What to do with squash?
Try baking spagehtti squash in the oven (halved and still in it's skin) and when it's done cooking, use a fork to to shred it out. You'll have a nice "pasta" to go with a tasty sauce!
