I know this has probably been asked before but I'm new(ish) and wondering, how do people make grilled chicken taste so good. Like if you go to a steakhouse and get grilled chicken it's got such a yummy flavor and is moist. When I make grilled chicken at home it's not very good, so bland...no flavor. I season it with various things and at times marinade but I still just can't get that flavor. Any thoughts on that?

Re: Grilled Chicken
In restaurants most of the time they have injected the chicken with a salt/spice solution. I have a marinade injector that we use to inject chicken and any kinds of meats with! You can get them at the grocery store in the marinade section!

Re: Grilled Chicken
I don't know about over there in the States, but here in Italy you really have to be careful what chickens you buy too. If you buy regular supermarket ones they have little flavour or even worse, they taste of fish because of the fish meal they feed them.
Free range, corn fed chickens are more expensive but oh so worth it!

Re: Grilled Chicken
If you're not into injecting, you can mix up a salt water solution--I use 1 tablespoon salt per 2 quarts water. Pour that into a plastic food storage bag, add the chicken breasts, close and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. If you want to brine the chicken breasts longer, use less salt otherwise, the meat develops a funny rubbery texture.~Megs~

Re: Grilled Chicken
Couple of weeks ago my hubby made me some chicken. First he took some boneless chicken breast and beat with with a meat cleaver. He seasoned it with minced garlic (out of the jar kind) and salt, pepper, and some spicy seasoning. He panned fried it in olive oil. It was soooooo delicious. Ate l piece with vegetables for dinner and then had another piece cut up in a salad for lunch.
