That sounds good cocobelle~I put a bit of blended herb spice in my mine so I don't think cinnamon would be too tasty in there, but I'll make them again without the spices and try the cinnamon.
It's in the 14 Day Induction Forum: It's a sticky thread called "Induction Recipe Basics".
I used to bring them to cook outs and use them as hamburger buns. If you can find a "muffin top" pan, the "rolls" baked in it are more uniform and look more like hamburger buns. But that's totally a "looks" type of thing.
They taste the same whether they are cooked in a muffin top pan or free-form.
Also, that batter is pretty useful. For instance, you can make a chicken pot pie with it. Make the pot pie filling. Bake it. Then in the last 15 minutes of cooking, spread the batter on top and allow it to finish baking. You can sprinkle the top with shredded cheese or mix the cheese into it.
You can also make version of a UK dish called "Toad in a Hole". In real toad in a hole, they bake cooked sausages in a flour batter. But you can do a similar thing with that Revolution Roll batter: spread it in a well greased baking dish, put the cooked sausage/veg/cheese on it and bake. The batter will rise up around the meat/veg as it cooks.
Another Induction recipe is for a rhubarb "cobbler". Cook the rhubarb, sweeten it with Splenda, then spread the rhubarb in a baking dish, top with the batter (don't use onion or garlic powder in the batter!!!!), and bake it until it's puffy.
Oh the last Induction recipe for it is a cheese danish. Use only 1/2 the amount of cream cheese in the recipe for the batter (trust me, it will work fine!) and don't use any garlic or onion powder, instead use a 1/2 packet of Splenda and a drop of vanilla, almond, or lemon extract. Drop the "rolls" onto your baking sheet. Meanwhile, mix 3 tablespoons of cream cheese with the remaining Splenda and a drop of vanilla, almond, or lemon extract. Drop 1/2 tablespoon for the cream cheese onto each 'roll'. DON'T mix the cream cheese in. It will sit on top of the batter and look funny, but that's okay. As the danish bakes, the cheese will 'settle' into it. It will look and taste like a cheese danish.
When you move to OWL Phase and begin incorporating fruits, you can mix a fruit puree with the cream cheese or just use fruit puree straight for a fruit danish thing.
ok i tried making it, following the directions and mine are so thin, and breaking apart, did i do something wrong. I was thinking maybe i didnt get the egg white stiff eneough but they were pretty stiff.
Any Suggestions?
LISA restarted induction 9/20/09 starting weight 329 1st goal 300, would like to reach this goal by December 1st
Lisa: I beat the egg whites until there was no question they were stiff and then folded the yolk mixture in really carefully...maybe when you added the yolks you mixed it too much? Try try again~~
Don't be upset about the pancakes you got---eat them like pancakes! Even if you didn't make them "sweet" you can eat them along with a meal, as you would a flatbread.
