    Re: In-N-Out Burger

Hey isn't this the infamous place that Paris Hilton was in an all fire hurry to get to the night she was pulled over DUI? I guess they must be really good...or she's a moron. Or both.

      Re: In-N-Out Burger

I go to in and out all the time and get the double double, protein style with mustard instead of sauce, sometimes grilled onions. I can't believe that would be 11 grams of carbs? I bet its the sauce that makes it so high. The onions are very minimal amount so they wouldn't be a high count.

        Re: In-N-Out Burger

Yup IN-n_Out is wonderful..I'm afraid that the sauce does have some sweet pickle in it and some ketchup.. So it's got sugar in it... I'd avoid it.

I always get mine with grilled onions extra pickles and no sauce. I use mayo and mustard instead.. I know it's not the same but it's still darn good.

For those who haven't ever had one..

Buns made fresh and shipped in every day.
        Fresh ground meat... not frozen
        Real cheese
fresh from the head leafed lettuce
        Dill pickles
        Ripe tomatoes (not pre sliced)
Slab of onion... fresh or grilled
        Choice of spreads..

And their fries... they are made from whole potatoes that you can watch the slice. You can watch the guy cut then dump them in the frier and see them end up on your order.. That's how fresh every thing is.

They do one thing and they do it right...

Dang... now I'm hungry! Looks at clock... Humm... 9:16 pm.. No wonder.. I guess I'll have to have a light dinner tonight.

You are so lucky, it is not even funny! We live in The Netherlands now. No in-n-out here.

My dh travels to LA on business a lot and we are always discussing packaging a double double in dry ice. Yum.

I'd be tempted to say both.. But what do I know? I've never met the girl.

Catblue, or others, what do you think the carb count is if you have a double double, with grilled onions, tomato, protein style with mustard instead of sauce? It still wouldn't be 11 grams would it?

                  Re: In-N-Out Burger

I wouldn't think so.. after all you've got about two ounces of cheese..
Two slices of tomato, a cup or less of lettuce and about 3/4 cup of onions. Then there are the pickles.. I'm not sure where they would be at.. but they are made from cucumber which is a low carb veggie... Soooo???

                    Re: In-N-Out Burger

I've been counting them to be about 5 grams for each double double. I saw on McDonalds that a Big Mac without bun and WITH the sauce is 6, so I may be overestimating, but better to be safe than sorry.

Lucylou3208- the 11 gram count is with the sauce...without you are looking at about 8 or so.....

                          Re: In-N-Out Burger

We're in LA for a month from Massachusetts and I read everyone's reviews on In 'n Out and decided to try their Double Double Protein. The sauce is Thousand Island althought they didn't use much at all, and it was two patties with cheese wrapped in lettuce. I'm not a burger/fast food person at all but that was yummy!!! Anyone know of any other good LA low-carb-friendly spots to recommend?
