Spray baking sheets with cooking spray and lay the zucchini chips in a single layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, turning frequently. Then turn down o 300 degrees and cook for an additional 10 or 15 minutes until they are lightly browned. Transfer to paper towels after cool."

Well I tried these and I couldn't get then crispy like a potato chip.. I did leave them just sitting in the oven for a while and some of them got a little bit crispier.. Don't know if Cut them too thick or what.. They still tasted good though

Could you deepfry the zucchini, then sprinkle with seasoning?

Perhaps the 350 degrees is too low. I would think to get them crispy you might need to do 425 or so, but that's just a SWAG (sophisticated wild-*** guess).

              Did they get crispy?
              lol

If yes, how long did you leave them in and at what temperature.

                        Re: Zucchini Chips

My advice on the food dehydrator version is to slice them about 1/8-1/4 inch thick. Anything thinner will result in an almost paper-like chip.

                          Re: Zucchini Chips

I made the zucchini cut, dipped in egg whites and baked on Sunday. they are delicious!

I think to crisp up the chips they would have to be almost paper thin? If I have time, I have one more eggplant, I'll try it....

not very good at this, all have burnt, come to the conclusion electric ovens aren't as good as gas one. I've tried, carrot and egg plant. Carrot was the best.

Anyone know if these could be chilled/frozen and then reheated? I'm thinking I could make some in the morning and snack on them throughout the day - I need to work more veggies in and I don't like them! If they are like crisps and have cheese on them mmmmmmm!
