Re: I've started my Candida Elimination Diet

I'm still kinda getting these 'stool's but it's in small doses.

Did anyone experience something similar ?

Not for me, Dave. Isn't green something to do with bile/gallbladder?

Re: I've started my Candida Elimination Diet

NO, Not me. No Black stools.
Everyone is different in their symptoms and if you haven't ever had this problem before, it is very possible that this is associated to your treatment and new diet(Gold standard).

What I have always had problems with is !!!constipation!!! So we all deal with our problems.

I can say that my weight is really coming back down and I am so happy. How is your weight loss going.?? My weight had gotten back up to 205 tuesday, 17th. this was the first day of going back to Gold standard, and being serious. The very next day my weight is 202.5. Then the next day 201 and this morning my weight is 200.0. So I hope to be back in ONEderland in a few days. Remember if a person is overgrown with yeast(candida) your immune system is effected and not only can you not lose weight, but your weight will start creeping back up. that would be ME!

With medication, suppliments and Gold Standard, I am also feeling so much better. Mentally and physically, I am ready to stay serious and get on with my journey.

You only want to follow the Gold Standard diet if you are overgrown with candida yeast and are stuck in your weightloss efforts. Not just paused, but truely stalled. Meaning at least 6 weeks without losing any weight or inches.

        happy Low carbing!

Yes, I have had that happen with die off. It's gross, but at least you know you're doing something about the yeast.

            Thanks everyone for posting.
Becky Sue, Congrats on making it to 200 pounds!

My weight. Well I'm doing Boot Camp and I have made a pledge not to weigh myself until the end. It's day 7.

But the funny thing is visually I have changed (and it's only been 7 days), even my fiancee has noticed it. My gut had flatenned and my parts are much more looser!

I will let you know when I complete boot camp!

                  Congrats Becky Sue!!

I'm hoping to make ONEderland by the end of boot camp. We have 8 days left (started Jan 16th).

Keep up the great work, Dave!!! Isn't it great when our loved ones can tell a difference? My gut is flatter too, but the strange thing is that my face is thinner as well. Didn't expect that!

Re: I've started my Candida Elimination Diet

I found it really hard to stay on Gold Standard for the last couple of days

                    I am really missing cheese

                    Anyone else experience this ?

I was inches from having some cheese, but the good news is that I prevailed.

At the minimum I will stick it out till next Monday.

Maybe this is a symptom of the candida ?

I have found that every time that I have had some psycological or physical cravings for something, and I have stuck it out, I seem to drop some weight the next day.

Maybe it's the yeasties? Turning me into a cheese zombie ?

Decide, Provide and Abide! Adele's statement. simplest way of looking at this WOE.
Adele's information about anti-yeasting is on her website listed in the Stickys!
It is hard to get your mind around the strict diet. Don't give it lots of thought, just do it. *grin*
I do think that the candida can cause you to want the yeast feeding foods, so WTG for not folding and giving in.

Re: I've started my Candida Elimination Diet

I'm trying to change my attitude about food. I'm looking at it as fuel instead of a way for comfort. It can be difficult though.

Congrats to not giving in, Dave! As a fellow cheese-lover, I can certainly relate to that particular temptation.

Re: I've started my Candida Elimination Diet

There is so much more to succeed in losing weight. we have to learn to feel our emotions, sad, happy, or mad. We have to face the emotions and not self medicate ourselves with food.
I think when I really realized this, was the time I really got mad and then i ran to the kitchen and started shoving food into my mouth. Almost instantly I realized what I was doing. I was shocked and then started thinking it thru. I realized that if I wanted to succeed at this I had to FEEL the emotion. It hasn't been easy, but I am working on this.

I can relate to that, Becky Sue. I think millions of people medicate themselves with food. That's why I'm trying to view food as fuel and not as a way to pacify myself.

I certainly don't want to lose my emotions, but I also don't want to automatically reach for a pint of ice cream whenever I'm stressed, sad, bored, whatever. It's so easy to mindlessly eat and not taste anything.

Re: I've started my Candida Elimination Diet

In the past I have used food to do this. To get through tough times I would scoff some junk and get loaded up on carbs

Made me feel better temporarily, but it was disasterous for my health!

Apparently dairy, and in particular cheese has concentrated opoids that really drug the system. I think it's the stuff baby cows ingest and it calms them down.

I know what you mean, Dave! It's so easy to just chow down on junk food. I've lost count the number of times I went through an entire bag of chips & didn't taste a thing! Did they taste good? Beats me! Funny thing is, I don't really like chips that much! That's pathetic, I know. All I knew was that I felt better, emotionally, eating SOMETHING.

I hadn't hear the thing about the cheese. Did you read that in an article somewhere? I'll see if I can look up some info. I definately feel better, too, after giving up dairy!!

Hang in there, Dave!! We'll beat the yeasties!!
