Yknow until I found out I had the yeasties I really quite enjoyed my Atkins diet.

    Now it sucks big time!

I really hate the yeastie beasties....

Even though it sucks now, I think it's better that you know that you have the yeasties. You're armed with knowledge and you're going to kick their butts!!!

If you were losing weight with the regular Atkins diet, there's no need to change to the more stringent anti-yeast diet until AFTER you hit a prolonged stall, ie, no weight change and change in measurements for a month or so. If that happens or if they are causing you some health issues, then switch to anti-yeasting.

There's no need to suffer diet-wise if you can lose weight on Atkins. Everyone has yeast (and bacteria) in their bodies, it's just a matter if they are stopping you from reaching your goals.

        Re: Miserable

I went yeast fee because I had lots of health problems before I started Atkins...eventually I realised it was all the evil yeasties fault!

        Yeasties must and will die!!

yep many new to candida battling think like the uneducated Atkins folk that induction is the whole thing. once you get yours incontrol you reintroduce the forbidden foods in a controlled manner and see if any give you trouble just like Atkins OWL as long as you keep taking your probiotics and supplements after antibiotics or a reinfestation from a contaminated food you should be fine eating your regular Atkins. just take care not to allow foods to be contaminated like wash every well all fruits and veggies and use fresh anything where ever possible.

            Happy low carbing.
