  • But if the sf syrup is made with liquid Splenda and it has no bulking agents, then technically I should be able to use it, right? I'm SO confused... Missy says yes, but Chynna says no...
LOL... yes, gotta say no to those SF syrups too. Splenda, as we know it, is derived from sugar. That's still feeding your yeast.

Pammie... No loss of any sort? I noticed that I can take 1000mcg of Chromium Picolinate and still see results. It also works great with eliminating any cravings (watch out, even meals are not craved for!) Try that and see how it works. Also, I suggest taking 250-300mg of CoQ10 which helps to burn fat with such doses. With this combination, you should be able to see some sort of results. It also helps to up the strength training and take some L-Carnitine with this (I take 500mg when I work out... helps break a great sweat!).

Read the labels and research the ingredients that you are unfamiliar with. More than likely, if it's packaged, it's got chemicals in it that can throw your CD off track.
The grains I'm eating and their ingredients are...

        Steel cut oats: whole oats

Spelt Bread: whole grain spelt, filtered water & sea salt

        Flax Seed: milled flax seeds

RyCrisp Crackers: whole rye, corn bran, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, salt, caraway, and BHT (a preservative). HMMM.... I guess I won't be buying these again for a while. I don't think the other ingredients are good for me.

I guess I got a little lax on reading the labels when I was hunting down no yeast products.

Okay... cut out RyCrisp crackers, cheese (once I finish what I have), and maybe even my protein powders due to aspertame in one and cocoa in another. The 3rd protein powder I have is actually made with stevia... so I might still use that one.

Before you eat or drink anything (even water) you need to spit right on top of the water in a glass and leave it float. it is not the most pleasant thing I have done LOL

              • I have not noticed really bad cravings...but I have found that I am forever hungry...and I mean, my tummy is rumbling.

this morning I had a salmon steak and a boiled egg for breakfast and I was hungry around 10 (that never happens) I ate a huge lunch, another salmon steak, my 1 cup of roasted eggplant, and 1 cup cucumbers, boiled egg and a peice of garlic/almond bread. came home from work and had a 2 cup chicken salad with fresh mayo on it. came back from my class and my stomach is rumbling like I want another dinner! I had a small peice of chicken and some more almond bread and a lot of water!

                • Pammie, me too... I am always hungry :anger I forgot what it was like to be hungry!!! I almost mowed down my DH to get to some almonds the other day (and yes, they are unprocessed). Hang in there girl :hug
Well, since I am still getting conflicting answers on the sf syrup (LOL), I will try it and see what happens. I am not planning on having some everyday, but I need my flax. :nod And my recipe only calls for 4 Tbsps. and it makes about 10 muffins, so that is less than a 1/2 Tbsp.. I'll let you guys know what happens. Thanks

                    • The CAD I am following says you can have almonds, pecans, cashews, brazil nuts and pumpkin seeds as long as they are UNprocessed. I have not had any problems with them. However, I have not tried my muffins with the almond flour, but that is just raw ground almonds. I'll let you know...

                      • I've definately got a healthy appetite, but I've always seemd to have one. Only a few days here and there do I find myself without an appetite.... then the next day afterwards, I'm starved all day long.

I've heard conflicting info on cashews.... but all peanuts and pistachios are no-no's. Otherwise, almost all other nuts are okay, as long as they are unprocessed... unsalted, unroasted, etc.. although I have been guilty of buying the low-salt versions of roasted almonds myself.

I avoided sodium for a while... but now, I actually add Morton's Lite Salt to my foods for added electrolytes because it has calcium, potassium and magnesium in it which help balance out the sodium in your body anyways. Iheard sea salt was better... but thecarton I found in my supermarket last night had the same "dextrose" that you find in most other salt products anyways, so I didn't bother buying it. I'll look for pure sea salt next time I hit Trader Joes or Whole Foods.

                        • yep, the info I had said almonds were ok too.
but deffinately stay away from peanuts and pistachios and I would stay away from cashews. I have an allergy to pennisulian and a doctor told me long ago that many people who have allergies to pennisulian also end up with an allergy to cashews, I don't know the connection but I always thought it was mold??

                          • Pammie are you using unfiltered Apple cider vinegar. I found Oil of Oregano too expensive here in the UK but ACV seems to work just as well for me. Also I took 2bigs suggestion to take my probiotics at night, not when I've just had ACV.

I cannot find unfiltered applecider vinegear here, just the regular super market kind which I know is wrong.

                              • I didn't use the ACV, so it is still possible to kill off the yeast without it as long as you are taking lactilobacilus acidophilus supplements along with garlic or any other yeast killing supplements.
