    Hi Guys

    I have been losing weight but have had an infection in a surgery scar that I have just found it is mould/yeast psuedamonas and when I read the chapter in DANDR I had several of the symptoms of candida.

    Dr A says to avoid sour cream, all cheese (except mozzarella and cream cheese), mushrooms, fermented products and processed/smoked meats. He doesn't mention that you need to cut heavy cream or butter.

    Can someone please clarify? I am very nervous of cutting all this out if it's not necessary to do so. I may start by cutting processed, fermented and cheeses and see what happens.

    I don't suffer from candida, so am not very knowledgeable (even though I mod this forum). I'm sure some candida expert will be along shortly and be able to help you.

    I'd imagine that the more yeasty foods you remove from your diet the quicker you'll see results.
    You say you're losing, which is good!

      Thanks for your reply. I definitely feel better for low yeasting. Am 2.5 pounds down on day six and the most amazing thing is that I have lost 2 inches from my waist in six days! I think my stomach was very bloated and is finally going down. I am going to keep going with what I am doing for several months and then try the occassional portion of aged cheese and see what happens. Zx
