I, too, have the same resentment toward the mainstream medical community.
I would not be full blown diabetic if my old family practice Dr and OB-GYN would have listened to me.
It took me going to at least 12 different Dr's and OB-GYN to find someone that understood and listened to me and my body.
In March of 2003, I was diagnosed with PCOS and diabetes, finally!!! At least I then knew what was wrong with me.
He was the one that suggested I go on Atkins, exercise and make lifestyle changes.
