anybody want to have a treadmill exercise challange?

if so do we use miles pledged and logged? time pledged and logged? speeds? fequency? what do you want?

We had a steps challenge last yr and walked across the US as a group and as individuals on a site, but once the grop got to CA the momentum fell off and very few folk continued to post so an off board site isn't the way to go I don't think.

I like shooting for mileage or time, but based on what we'd like to do coupled with the percentage we actually complete so that everyone can work to their own capabilities. There's still the risk of not hitting our pledges that way, but I won't be competing against someone who walks 7 miles a day when I'm only able to do 5-6.

        I'll play...

Maybe "time" would be the best way so it's fair for all in the challenge. Since many aren't ready for the 10 mile walk or highest incline.

When are you thinking of starting this?

                  Re: Attention Treamill owners

so do we want daily check ins like the 6WEC or an ongoing topic like the SI6ers?

so you set you own commitment based on you skills be it time, miles, or speed

figure what you should be doing for a month and commit it here

like I do HIIT 60 min 3 days a week and I do cardio 30 min 3 days so I'd be for the rest of this month 3 weeks left so I'd be down for 810 min.

Since sarah does miles she should commit if she really does 40 a week to 120 miles

Okay who has our icon for our siggies and the code to make them clickable to bring others wanting to check us out to our challenge topic?

Anything else we should think about?

I'll definitely join in 2big. But does it purely have to be treadmill? Does running outdoors count also?

I do tend to do more treadmill work than road. So I'll just count my treadmill distances and time for your challenge.

                        If thats ok?

                        thanks

Are you wanting to start the treadmill challenge in the next day or two? I like the idea of checking in everyday even if you don't get the workout done. Reading other people's posts motivates me to get off my duff if I'm feeling reluctant to work out.

YA I do 40 per week but sometimes I do 35 and other times I have gone as high as 45 miles so I could commit to say 110 miles per month LOL. I would hate to not hit my goal but, if I am over that's cool too. YAY me.

I like the idea of an ongoing thread cause you can come in and just tell everyone how great your doing. I like that a lot.

My treadmill I swear is gunna blow up we are shopping right now for a new one. I am sooo excited then I can start doing more incline.
