  • SITUPS challenge anyone?? SIGN UP HERE!

    I know for me, I have a lot of weight to lose around my belly area. I had a c-section with my youngest who is 5, and I really need to work the muscles again in my belly.

    Anyone interested in joining or helping me start a challenge to do sit-ups?

    Can anyone design a blinkie for this challenge?

    I would like to challenge myself to start out doing 25 situps a day.

    Anyone else??

    Okay, I'm in, no idea how to do blinkies though! Are we going to post here? Will you start another thread for the month or what?

    I'm in for 50 on my ab lounge a day.

    That will go nicely with my treadmill treckie challenge!

      Yayyyy!

      I'm thinking of starting my situps tomorrow, I don't have much time this moring, have to get off the computer now, and do my eclyptical 30 minutes for the 6WEC, and then get ready for work! Have to wake up hubby and my older son now, so they get ready wihle I'm exercising!

      So I'm going to start the challenge tomorrow!, it will be an ongoing challenge...

      what do you think? or is there another idea in mind!

        Not sure, depends on what you want to have to keep track of! If you do a monthly thread, that's one thread for you to check. If you're not really going to track it all, a monthly thread would work. Just a place for everyone to post daily for each month.

          Can I do ball situps for this? I need the back support at the moment, doing them on the floor is too painful, even with a mat or towel under me.

            Hi analog! My guess would be yes! Diva had to go start her busy day I think, but I can't see her saying no, I think any way you can do them would be great! I guess this thread will be for signing up, and she'll start a thread for reporting asap, or let us know how it will go!

                Analog, yes sure! Anything that targets the tummy /ab muscles!

                I'm thinking if we post for the month how many we would like to do (sit ups ,etc) per day or out of how many days in the week.

                What do you guys think about that? I've never started a challenge before, so......I'm a bit rusty LOL

                  Okay, do you just want to use this one thread for it? Sign in, say how many per day for how many days and start reporting it here or do you want to start a Feb Ab Challenge Thread for posting when we do them?

                    Im in!!! Woo I love situps!! Im in for 200 a day 6 days a week. or 5000 for feb. I'll keep looking in to see how this is going to go.

                      Shall we start the challenge tomorrow?

                      let's post how many days per week we will do ( like for instance 20 a day for 6/7 days a week) ,

                      and keep track by posting at the end of the week? So tomorrow is Monday, we post our challenges by tomorrow, and then next Monday we let everyone know how we did and also talk about any changes to our abs that we notice?

                      What do you all think about this?

                        Okay, starts Monday, February 6th.
                        Sign in here with number of situps pledged for the month of February.
                        We're going to do this like the treckie challenge, mine would be, for example Situp Challenge: 0/1200 for February. A thread will be started on Monday that reads similarly so we can have a separate place to report completed days/weeks. You won't have to post every day, but a report every Monday at the least on how you're doing with the number you pledged and how you feel would be great! Feel free to report as often as you'd like though!

                        All right, so far we have:

                        Diva - 25, 7 days
                        Jasmain - 50, 7 days
                        Jenler - 200, 6 days
                        Analog - ?
                        Sheshy - ?

                          I will take part. I will do a minimum of 75 stomach crunches a day. (7 days a week).

                            This sounds like something I need as well but I have a question...when we lift weights we are only supposed to do them every other day so as to give the muscles a chance to recover and rebuild. I understood this to be the same for abs. Is this not so? And if it is, then we should be aiming for more like 3 or 4 times a week, shouldn't we? Have any of you heard about this? If not then nevermind. I never have time for abs so I'll say 25 per day 4 days a week. That would be a good challenge for me. Thanks Diva.
