      Hi!

I’m in for the 6 week challenge and I saw that flights count as an exercise . That seems fun! So as of this moment I stop using my car in the town, meaning that I start climbing stairs… to where I don’t know for sure. Can I choose places I want to go, like Oia, Santorini, the castle of Nafplio etc, places with known numbers of stairs. What do you say, can I do that ?

good to have you doing this challenge olga!

check the very first post of this thread and you will have access to the worksheet that goes with this challenge. we don't choose our our climbs, they are chosen for us. the steps and flights are already counted out for the chosen buildings and/or mountains. i won't discourage you to climb other things but the award is for the specicfied climbs.

Since I have a step machine at home and I've seen a few of you folks posting flights of stairs climbed I have decided to give this challenge a shot as well.

I dont climb any stairs during the day....there arent any to climb at work nor at home....so I guess that means my baseline week is 0...LOL.

I'll be starting tonight with the Millennium Dome, England........

good to have you trying this challenge, seshena! i'll add your name to the list of climbers!

you will get a feel for the target in the first few days. you will probably find yourself upping that number as you get move along the climbs. i don't really use the target anymore. i know 60 flights in one day is too many for me. i know i can handle 48 or 50.

                  happy climbing!!!

Greetings from atop Blackpool Tower, England!

Tonight, I'll go back to the depths of my basement and begin a new journey. I've found a hidden advantage to the extra stair climbing - things on the main floor at home are finding their way back upstairs where they belong, or to the basement for proper storage. Even better, I'm discovering lost treasures in storage while seeking spots to put stuff I take to the basement!

seshena, that means you did the dome (320) and 337 towards the next climb.
it's perfectly fine to finish one and start another in the same work out session.

i'll mark the millennium dome done for you! well done!
