    jack, i must say, i do believe this was no challenge at all for you. perhaps you should be dong the presidential challenge. you could really rack up the points with that.

    don't take me wrong, i enjoy seeing people complete a challenge but you are completing these with no effort at all!

    at any rate, good on ya for the accomplishment! now git youself into the pres. challenge and start racking up some points!

      My wife has urged me to lose 20 pounds and to do this challenge with her. I'll start with the virtual buildings

        The real challenge will come finishing the Virtual Mountains.
        Mt Blanc and Killimanjaro will take about 12 days at 70 to 90 minutes per day!
        I will check out the Presidents challenge though.

        What I need to do is an ABs Challenge because I really HATE ABs. !!!

          jack there is an ab challenge! you set your own goal and report each day. it's been going on for months!!! lol

                  So cool to see a husband and wife team!
                  Also... congrats on another conquest Jimmie!

                  I'm going slow on flights at the moment due to trip to the islands. Not many stairs here as we're in the ground floor flatlet, having rented out our usual first floor one(second floor to you Americans). But did get 19 in on the overnight ferry!!!

                    sadie, you are welcome for the nudge. i'll add you my list and we'll all watch to see when you end this climb. glad to have you among us! this is really gonna work those legs and butt muscles..... oy,,,i need work on my legs and butt.

                      so how many flights do you do in 60 mins..about 300? jeez you must step fast! I can only do do 60 in 15 mins LOL. an hour on a stairmaster would kill me!!!!! I can barely walk when I get off it as is. How long have you being doing it for? I'm hoping to work my way up to 30 mins eventually, but it's going to take me quite a while i think to get there.

                      It's gonna easily take me a couple of months to climb my mountain I think...

                        Yea...It averages about 300 an hour!
                        My wife thinks I'm kinda nuts, but the workout is great.
                        I used to run years ago but my right achilles tendon doesn'y like it anymore!

                        Jen, Keep at it...You are doing awesome!

                        We have had a stairmaster at home for about ten years.
                        I generally use it at the beginning if ski season to build up my stamina for downhill. My motivation this year is that I am in the process of hiking the Long Trail in Vermont.
                        Last year I hiked 114 miles in 9 days and my weight was around 200lbs.
                        I'm 5'6" and am pretty muscular but I was still carrying way too much weight around my gut. I have about 168 miles to go. I will be hiking 30 miles the weekend after Fathers Day and about another 30 sometime in July or August.
                        That will leave me with slightly over 100 miles for my 1 week Solo hike when I go up in September to finish the Trail.

                        My goal is to go out the door in September at 175lbs. or less.
                        I started Atkins in ernest around the beginning of April, although I have been working at weight loss since the beginning of January.
                        SW...214, CW...194.
                        I have gained a massive amount of inspiration from this board!!!

                          Next goal will be to climb the rest of the Virtual Mountains...
                          If I can do it in 3 weeks I will be done before I hit the trail at the end of June!
                          I'm thinking it will help me get my weight out of the low 190's down into the
                          Mid 180s.

                            you have finished ALL of the virtual buildings????? i don't have the award finished so you'll have to wait for it! i never expected anybody to get through this so fast.

                                I basically grouped the buildings into (3) 1 hour sessions. After doing the Everest climb,
                                and doing 70 to 90 minute sessions, 1 hour sessions didn't seem so bad.
                                I gotta chill out on the stair climber though as I have alot of other things to do around the house.
                                I'll keep you posted on the rest of the virtual mountains as I finish them.
