Re: PLEDGING FLIGHTS *** A Stair Climb Challenge
I'm working on it, for sure!! 193 flights up so far...
It seems most non-Atkiners take the train to go from here the rest of the way up - aren't you tempted, Sally?

Re: PLEDGING FLIGHTS *** A Stair Climb Challenge
Boy that train looks tempting for real! How clever for finding that pic Boonie! Maybe we could both just hop on for a couple of hundred metres
If you suddenly see I've updated by 200 flights in a single day, you'll be right to be suspicious!!!
But no... think I'll stick to trudging wearily on up, and just do a bit of train spotting en route! We can wave to the plumpies on board!

Re: PLEDGING FLIGHTS *** A Stair Climb Challenge
Hi, everyone. I'm a newbie and someone suggested for me to take on a challenge. Since I work on the 5th floor I've decided to take on this challenge. I am starting with the smallest buidling and working my way up. Is it ok to only do this Monday through Friday?

WELCOME TO THE PLEDGING FLIGHTS CHALLENGE, GEM!!! it's always good to add another climber to the mix.Originally posted by Gem238Hi, everyone. monday thru fridays are fine. some of us only get a couple days a week in, some are every day climbers. it's on your schedule, there is no time frame but your own. you don't have to check in every day or even each time. we do want you to let us know when you finish a building or a moutain though so we can celebrate a little bit with you.
happy climbing!!!!

Re: PLEDGING FLIGHTS *** A Stair Climb Challenge
Good to see a new climber, Gem! It's a great way to get a feel for how stairs you go up every day add up to tremendous accomplisments over the long haul. The add up to feats we'd never consider possible!~Susan

Re: PLEDGING FLIGHTS *** A Stair Climb Challenge
Guess I'll put in my 2 cents... Sally's getting a run for her bet, as I'm 384 flights up the side of Snowdon so far.
The weather's chilly, but what the hey, shivering burns more calories, and you don't get overheated as easily with exertion!~Susan

Re: PLEDGING FLIGHTS *** A Stair Climb Challenge
Hi everyone. I'm new, this is my second day. And I need to get some exercise going and this sounds like a fun challenge. My house is two-story and also I work on the 5th floor of my building so I think it will be a pretty good one for me to try. I'm going to be slow at first... doubt I'll be doing all 5 flights of stairs at once but hey.. we have to start somewhere!
I'll definitely be starting with the smaller stuff - here I go up the Millennium Dome!
