Re: Join the Slim In 6 Challenge NOW!- Only - Six Weeks!

I'm in. After actually completing 80% of the workout with Brook lastnight, I feel committed to keeping it up.

Brook - ignore my plea to workout together tonight. Sounds like you're busy. I'm going to get some paperwork and kid stuff taken care of around here, and then do the disc you gave me before bed. Wish me the best!

Re: Join the Slim In 6 Challenge NOW!- Only - Six Weeks!

Hey guys! I've been reading through the thread and was wondering if I could jump in on this challenge of pain! I love SI6 and I've only been doing it for two weeks. It makes parts of my body burn that previously I didn't know existed! I'm stuck on Ramp it Up! and still have to take breaks after the squats and lunges portions. I've been kind of behind this week in working out so joining you all in a quest for pain is exactly what I need right now!

I'm off to Ramp it Up!!!

Thanks Brook! So far I'm still doing SIU and I'm still having trouble with balance so it will probably be a little while before I RIP haha! Anyway, I'm done with day 4 and I feel great. So glad my sis Yoly told me about the DVDs. (Hi YOLY!!!)They're definitely worth it! Looking forward to shedding some BIG pounds before an awesome trip coming up soon. Glad to be part of the sore team!!! haha

Yep, YOLY ROCKS! Yoly, when I read your posts about how SI6 reshaped your body I ordered it immediately! So, Today would be day 7 for me. Do I have to take a day off? LOOK AT MY SIGNATURE - I LOST FIVE POUNDS IN THE PAST WEEK!!! How much of it was due to SLIM IN SIX?

Happy dancing off! Lets DO IT! Wooooooooooo!

Way to go Sadie!!! 5 pounds is amazing! I started with my first day of the challenge doing Ramp it Up! The burn felt good although I still had to take a break here and there, but the squats were easier. I can't wait to take measurements in a few weeks!!!

Re: Join the Slim In 6 Challenge NOW!- Only - Six Weeks!

Sadie, 5 pounds is amazing!!! CONGRATS! I'm not sure how much is Si6 and how much is the other stuff you do but I say it has to help. For a while there I went a long time without losing any weight but I literally shrunk with these tapes. I went a while without seeing some members of my family, maybe a month, and when they did finally see me they commented on how I had just shrunk! The only thing I had been doing differently that month was Slim in 6! It totally rocks, thanks to Brook who got me hooked on the pixie of pain.

Oh man, so I ramped it up last night, phew! I had taken a few weeks off from Slim in 6 and thought I could jump back in where I left off, usually I would have done Start it UP, but NOOO, I had to go for the gusto. Holy Toleeto Batman!! My thighs were shaking by the end of the plies, and when I got to the squats everytime I went down they would actually start cramping! I stuck with it though and got through it, thank goodness. The @sscrampers, I was *itching and moaning the whole way through it, lol. But I remember what they did for my butt last time so I'm sticking to them.

Ok so tonite I am commiting to Ramp it UP again. NO EXCUSES!

Hi Gaby! See you on Friday right? For those of you who don't know Gaby is my sister, and let me tell you it is so awesome to have someone who I can share low carb recipes with, moan and groan about the squat **** to, oh and what's especially nice, when I'm feeling extra lazy I can just go over to her house and mooch off what they are having for dinner, I love it!

Ok, I'm off to get some water, I'm feeling especially thirsty today. Hope everyone has a pain free day, I'm kind of sore, but its a good sore, the kind that means that I am taking a proactive solution to my weightloss. I'll take that kind of sore any day of the week!

Re: Join the Slim In 6 Challenge NOW!- Only - Six Weeks!

Yoly - That's so great! I'm just getting back on the SI6 bandwagon too and it feels awful and great at the same time. I'm taking it slowly by doing Start it Up. I haven't exercised in a few months (!!) so I am taking it one segment at a time (adding a segment every day). Today I got through the first three - through the lunges. It's nice because I know I am capable of doing it so I MAKE myself get through it when I just want to stop and I get to tell myself I only have 2 more minutes to go! Yesterday, I felt really good just doing the warm up and the squats - wanted to do more but made myself stop because I KNEW what my body would be doing today. This morning I was completely not into it and didn't want to push, body felt tired but I got up and got through the lunges and feel better. REALLY glad I didn't overdo it yesterday. Tomorrow - adding another segment.

Re: Join the Slim In 6 Challenge NOW!- Only - Six Weeks!

                  Good sore today? Umm yeah.

                  Not so much so.

OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. My @ss hurts. My quads are killing me. My hamstrings? Oyyyy vey.

I think they might fall off.

Scratch that. I'm just HOPING they'll fall off, but I'm fairly certain that's not going to happen and it's just gonna hurt like he|| for the next two days. LOL

                  ((((Yoly)))) You rock, mama!

((((qbu)))) I'm so glad to see you in here too!

You know, Si6 is tough, but there is no two ways about it. This program completely reshapes your body, builds your endurance, and is plain empowering. Out of my entire library, this is the one I go back to time after time after time - because I know it works!

Ladies - If you're doing SIU and your form on the exercises is good (- even if you have to take a couple of breaks), consider moving up. Pushing yourself is what this is all about. RIU is longer than SIU (at least the newer version of it. My SIU is 57? minutes long), but it's more well rounded. You may have to take several breaks through it as you build up your strength and endurance, but that's the cool thing- you'll build FAST!

By the way: I do have the Slim In Six manual in a Word document. If you'd like a copy of that, please feel free to PM me and I'll email it to you.

I'm off to go take a nap and some motrin. LOL I'm such a sissy!

Did Start It Up last night. Had to go back to the beginning. It was actually not too bad. Was able to keep up with her. Today, I'll go to Ramp It Up.

Brook--glad to be back doing SI6. It does work and I feel great when I'm doing it. She's brutal, but you do get results.

OK...did Start It Up and Slim and Limber...just finished. Thought I'd start RIU today, but had a change of heart and did SIU and S&L instead.

That workout is completed for the day. Might do another one later...maybe Turbo Jam, walk on the treadmill, who knows. I know it will be something indoors though. It's 93 with heat index of 99 and 63% humidity. Not planning on opening the doors at all today.

Hope everyone else is doing well with the "Pixie of Pain".

Today I did day 3 of SIU (I skipped slim & Limber today). My Quads still hurt considerably but I really feel great that I am sticking with the program! I am not having any diffuculty with the form in SIU except that my knees hurt doing the lunges (side effect of being overweight) I cannot go as deeply into the lunges and squats as they do on the video. Do you think that I should Ramp It Up tomorrow? or do a day or two more of SIU?
                        Anyone want to advise? Thanks!

Today I did SIU AGAIN so that makes it DAY 7 in a row for me but I didn't want to skip a day. I'm so glad I didn't because I almost kept up with the whole workout! It amazes me how FAST my body is improving and how FAST progress happens with this workout! I did 12 pushups today and a week ago I could only do ONE!

As I do the workout I keep thinking of all of you and thinking of funny things to write here when I check in. Like about how every time I squat my knees squeak and how GRUNTING loudly as I breathe out really helps when I do the squats! I'll bet I really sound like a Porno - ha ha ha!

I feel good... la la la la la.... just like I knew I would la la la la.... yeah I FEEL GOOOOOD YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH! (I sing so well don't I! Tee hee!)

Brook - My SIU is only 25 or 24 minutes and I just LOVE IT! It's over before I get over it - ha ha ha! So, which version do I have? It's a good workout and I'm wringing wet with sweat when I'm done!

The lunges are killer still, but I really pushed it on the abs part. I'm going to stick to Ramp It Up! for a few more days and then push myself into BuhBuhBuhBURN it UP!!! AHHHHH

Well, I screwed myself out of time to do RIU today. On the plus side, I actually got some sleep this evening.

I'm bringing 6pack and Slim 'n Limber to work with me. I'll at least get those in.

Well done on getting those workouts in, ladies!

Sadie- the 24/25 minute SIU is the new one. The old one is the one I have and that sucker is 57 minutes long.
