  • Biking/Treadmill/mileage Challenge! Join if you're excercising in miles.

    GET YOUR CARDIO!!! I would like to invite everyone to join this Challenge! Are you running on a treadmill? Biking? Exercising on anything that keeps track of your mileage? Then join us by posting your goal for September!

    I'm riding at least 10 miles a day on the exercise bike, 5 days a week. Set a goal that is good & challenging for you! It's a personal goal. I will keep track of goals and check in posts. Those who meet their goal will get a graphic award to show off!

          I tend to do lots of different excercise. I have my own excercise journal where I started in November 2004. The goal was to cover 1,500 kilometres. To this date I have only got around 140 kilometres to go.

          I can start posting in this thread of you if you like, to make it looks a little bigger? (your thread I mean).

          Last friday

          5 mile run on treadmill
          3.5 (ish) miles on stationary bike

          Yesterday, Sunday.

          11 miles run outdoors.

          I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

                Hey I will join up with you guys, Last month I rode 161 miles on my bike. I finally started spitting up exercise between riding and cardio circuit training...My plan is to ride 10 mi a day, 3 days a week... I will do my best to report this number and maybe add a few extra rides when possible... I wish there was a site, where your miles took you some where like a ride from Atlanta to Orlando, and I could be motivated like the stair climbers do, climbing up important or well known buildings...

                  What a great idea! Then we can actually dream of going on a free vacation while we doing the stationary exersizes. Well, we could go! I'll try and look for a site that has that. There has to be one!!!

                    Hi all,

                    I am joining your challenge today. My husband bought me a elliptical machine so I may as well put it to good use. Tonight will be my first time using it I will let you know how it goes. This board is a great idea. It will give me motivation and some accountability for my exercise.
                    Success doesn't come to you... you have to go to it!

                      oooooh, you have your own eliptical. I'm jealous! Tip: make it past the first 10 minutes on it and it gets easier after that, especially if you're watching good T.V. or listening to music/book.

                      I'm thrilled you joined Jerrica!! Subscribe to this thread, then you can easily submit your miles in this forum right after you do them. I'm new at getting back on Atkin's too, so we'll be 2 peas in a pod here (except you have your own eliptical, lol). We're on our way!!!!!

                            We have a eliptical trainer, I love it, my daughter loves it. Today we went to the sporting goods store and I tried a bunch of the new elipticals, they have got a lot of bells and whistles...wow, good luck, low impact is good on our knees...

                              We purchased a sole elliptical. I did a lot of research and it has good reviews. it also has a 20" stride that feels really good. It feels more like gym quality. It is also very quiet and stable. Are you thinking of purchasing a new one? My husband has asked me every few minutes are you ready to work out yet? He is so afraid that he invested this money and it wont be used lol. I love using this machine. I used the elliptical most frequently at the YMCA. Although it was very hard to get to them because they are so popular. That is when I used to exercise a lot. I am looking forward to getting this weight off and just feeling healthy and happy again. I look most forward to having energy again.
