Are you planning on being a body builder for Halloween? Well, even if you aren't you should build up those arm muscles with some stability ball pushups!!

Post your goal for the month, and then jump on that ball and get rolling! We will cheer each other on!!!

If you aren't familiar with Stability Ball Push Ups here's a link that shows some pics! http://www.acefitness.org/getfit/ex...aspx?pageID=285 The further down your legs you set the ball, the tougher they get!

Be sure and post regularly, even everyday if you want. The more you stop by, the more we get to give you a pat on the back!!

Hope to see you in October!!!

Thanks for getting this started again, Saty.

Having not yet tried it, I have a few questions about these funny looking little push-ups... Are they harder than typical modified "girl" push-ups? Or if I have trouble doing those, is this going to be even harder for me? And, is it possible to have too big a ball? Which is harder, a bigger ball or a smaller ball? My ball is considerably bigger than the ball in the picture (I think).

            Welcome Adena!!

I find these pushups easier than a modified pushup. I always had trouble doing those, but I can easily do 20 stability ball pushups. The only thing you might find tough at first is keeping balance, but this comes quickly with practice. The hardness depends on where you put the ball: under the hips = easier and at the shins/ankles = tougher. I'm not sure about the size of the ball effecting difficulty, but I have a fairly large ball and it doesn't seem to give me trouble.

I hope you find it fun!!!!

Saty - you're a sweetheart for starting this. Thank you! I'm in and I'll try for 250.

Adena - I did 7 today without the ring. I usually can't do push-up's at all! I believe the size of the ball depends on your height and weight. I needed a size 26". I found the measurements on the internet somewhere through Google search. Usually a place that sells the stability ball can tell you.
