    October has started, but you can still join!!!

    Welcome! Do you walk, run, bike, or exercise on any equipment that tracks your mileage? If you're not exercising, START NOW! Join the Mileage Challenge to stay motivated and be rewarded when you complete your goal. To sign up, just post your October mileage goal below.

    If you walk or run, you can buy a walking odometer for $4 at any sporting goods section of a department store and track all those miles you're getting in as well as calories burnt.

    My goal for October is 100 miles. I'm reducing my miles this month so I can do more on the Eliptical in place of the stationary biking. The Eliptical seems to give me a better workout.

      i'll sign up again too, kim.
      i'll be reducing my number. my flights took a huge hit by trying to get in so many miles in one month.
      let me get back with you on a number. i'll have to figure my flight days and such.

          I'm confused how this works... I use either the elliptical, stairmaster or stationary bike (rarely), can I still join? and if so do I just count the time on the elliptical?

            Lyssie, does your elliptical measure your distance? If you can find a way to measure your distance for any exercise, then it's easy to join & report your miles. I don't know how fast you go on your eliptical, so I cannot approximate the amount of distance you go for your time.

                            i don't think i'll have to whip anybody this time out! it's not needed when you got the best to workout with!

                            kimprofit i guess i have decided on 100 miles. that's 6 miles on 15 days plus another 10 miles. that might give me the days i need for flights. and there in lies the challenge! if it was easy it wouldn't be much of a challenge now, would it?

                            btw, a board wide challenge is taking place and i'd love for you guys to sign up! the link is my siggy.

                            now, like i stated in a pm just a few minutes ago, i'm starving and i need to get some grub!
