    How about a Buckle Down and Get Serious 3 Month Challenge?

    I considered myself serious until I reviewed the menu and discovered the 'extras' I was giving myself as I wanted to find out why I was stalling.

    I was 'allowing' myself Diet Cherry Pepsi or Diet Vanilla Pepsi since November when I had my last son. I was 'allowing' myself iced tea sweetened with splenda. I was 'allowing' myself not to exercise one day if I was tired. I truly didn't even realize it until I hit 190 and started to stay there. Oh, I'd bobble to 188 then come back up. I wanted to find out why. SO, I charted my entire intake. I had been charting my food in Fitday, but not my beverages.

    It's the beginning of October and I want weight loss to be a non issue for me by January 1st. I want to be into maintenence by then.

    Is anyone else interested in being accountable? Log DAILY exercise, food, water, concerns? I am interested in a TOTAL NO CHEAT Challenge. Last night I popped a part of a tuna melt in my mouth without even thinking as it was a leftover. I WANT to not do that. I need to change all my habits.

    I also want to extend this into my daily life. I want to have a goal for each day of items that I want to get completed. Whether it is put away all the laundry or scrub the floors. I'm hoping to retrain my brain in 3 months. I've read that it takes 3 months to retrain your brain and that's what I want to do.

    Any takers???

    Count me in! I could use another push. I'll post my diet and exercise tonight. This is gonna be fun!!! I have no idea why I'm so enthusiastic today... but I like it!

      don't forget, good atkins peeps, that you have a journal stat forum to log things into. just in case you don't want anything getting getting lost in the shuffle. you'll be able to see the day by day activity and in the process of helping youself, you might be helping the lurkers that read that forum.

        I'm in. I know exactly what you mean, I do the same kinds of things, very destructive things, without even realizing or meaning to, because some bad habits don't even CROSS your mind when you fall into that trap!

        I need to exercise, I need to watch the things I "allow" myself, I want to see the real results from doing everything the right way, without giving myself any leeway, or cutting myself any slack!

        Remember, if you have a stats journal for tracking things, you can just log it there, where it won't get lost, and stick the url for that post in here, leaving everything you are keeping safe just a click away for anyone here to view in a snap!

        I've gotten lazy, and this is JUST the thing to help!

          Guess it's you and me for now!

          I don't have a journal stats page. So, I think this will do.

          Exercise: 100 so far on Ab Lounger, will do 100 more tonight, did 1 mile Leslie Sansone tap

          Water: Chugging it already...ONLY WATER AGAIN TODAY....no extras.

          Food: Ate scrambled eggs for breakfast, have salad with chicken for lunch, dinner is to be peppers stuffed with a hamburger and cheese concoction I made up.

          Goal: I need to get the A/C's out of the windows, dust, and vacuum. Put away laundry, get dishes done, also need to list one item on Ebay.

          Tired today. Hopefully this detoxing from my 2 daily diet pepsis goes quickly.Doesn't seem to be looking that way though!

            woo hoo for you 3 can't wait to see your improvements as you work your Atkins shrink your bodies and be come in control folk.

              I'm tracking everything today on paper, I'll post it all in here after I do my exercise this evening!

              Looks like your day is going good so far, keep it up, and I completely understand about the detoxing, I was soooo addicted to diet coke and sprite zero!

                2big-I'm not that creative with icons. I'll have to see if I can dig one up or if someone else has a suggestion that's great. Maybe a belt tightening or something.

                  Ugh last night I tried to get on the boards to post all my stuff last night but my internet was messing up. So here is yesterday's...

                  Exercise: 50 crunches and a 1 mile walk/jog

                  Food: I know I'm bad... I don't eat breakfast But for lunch I had a salad with oil and vinegar. Snack was 3 strips of beef jerkey. Dinner was a piece of pork roast and another small salad.

                  Water: Chugging like a fiend... I don't drink anything but water.


                  And Today so far...

                  Exercise: 25 crunches down and do another set before bed as well as my mile walk/jog

                  Food: Once again... I was up and running first thing this morning and didn't get to eat breakfast. Lunch was a grilled chicken breast with sauteed mushrooms. I actually ate a late lunch... so I'm not sure if I will be partaking in Dinner tonight.

                  Water: Once again in fish volume.... ha ha ha

                  Goals: Clean bathroom, put away laundry, organize paperwork.

                  I am Craving sugar so freakin' bad! But I know if I even have a taste of it I will be hooked again... god damn these woman problems!!!

                      Exercise: 30 Minutes video workout on step

                      Water: 64 oz

                      Breakfast:
                      Flax oatmeal

                      Lunch:
                      chicken breast grilled
                      2 cups lettuce w/ 2 tbsp ranch
                      1/2 cup green beans

                      Dinner:
                      8 oz ribeye
                      1/2 cup green beans w/butter
                      1 oz cream cheese

                      Goals: Get off my butt and do the exercise - ACCOMPLISHED!

                        Exercise: 50 crunches, 1 mile walk/jog, 5 laps in the pool, and I tred water for five minutes.

                        These sugar cravings are just killing me... do you know any induction friendly way for me to get rid of these cravings???

                          Hey Stephi....thanks for joining us. I hope more people decide to join us as well!

                          Jas...you're doing great! Keep it UP!

                          Here's me for today:

                          Exercise: 75 so far on Ab Lounger, will do as many as possible tonight, did 1 mile Leslie Sansone tape

                          Water: Chugging it already...ONLY WATER AGAIN TODAY....no extras. AGAIN!!!!

                          Food: Ate scrambled eggs for breakfast, having left over pepper concoction for lunch. I put a roaster chicken in the crockpot for dinner. YUM!!!

                          Goal: Still have to get the A/C's out. This crazy freakin' weather makes me want to leave them in a few more days just in case...we were up to 89 yesterday! Got all the laundry and dishes done yesterday. Also, shipped one ebay item, YEAH!!!, and got the write up done for another...just need to post the actual listing. I'm so picky about how I list things!!


                          Another day caffeine free yesterday and I'm on my way today.

                          I love these icons so I'm going to use it for me EVERY DAY.....Jas and Steph also...here's our motivation for the day: They're SOOO cute!!!

                              Check your Atkins book for things that control cravings. I THINK it's chromium picolinate that is supposed to keep your blood sugar even so it doesn't spike and cause cravings, I know I took it my first time on atkins and it was great. You should be able to find it in the vitamin/herbs section of a drug store. Check the label, it says it's to help keep your blood sugar nice and happy.
