    Hello Everyone!

    Well I didn't go on my treadmill yesterday, but I did today, and I'm happy to report that I did 1.5 miles at a much faster pace. I'm so happy because it was only 2 months ago I could hardly walk let alone walk , on a fast pace! I can honestly say I'm have an endourphen(sp?) rush!

    Ok now I have to go and search for my cell phone.

      Oh I just saw this and would love to join for November.

      I will pledge *counts the days left in the month*..... better be conservative for now.... 60 miles.

      And I just did 3 on the treadmill right before I got here!

        welcome mystical sorry i thought I invited you before

        Pru great job. I discribed it as feeling like Rocky on top of those steps when I got my fiorst rush.

            Hi! Hey 2big, since your'e knowledgable on these subjects, I have a quick question for you. Are there more benefits to using a treadmill as opposed to using other cardio equipment such as the bicycle or the gazelle-look-a-like found in most gyms? ((Not sure what they're called but they're like a gazellle)) If so, what are they?


            Regardless, I'm going to try it out this month (Or atleast the remainder of this month)

            My only goal is to keep my heart rate around 140 for an hour so... I'll keep you updated after I go do an hour work-out that i'm about to start right now.



            EDIT: I'm lowing down that time down to a more reasonable amount... It's a lot easier to say something than to actually do it I was able to comfortably walk at a rate of 3.5 mph with short 1-2 minute bursts of running at 4.5 mph for 30 minutes comfortably. Then I got on my preferred cardio machine to finish out the rest of my 30 minutes.

            GOAL:

            30 minutes Mon-Fri at a base of 3.5 mph.

              Hello Everyone, Ok today was raining cats and dogs! Today was the kind of day that in the past I would bake some decedant dessert for the family.

              It was hard to get motivated to go on the treadmill, but I did it, but only did 1.25 miles at a much higher pace. In fact I actually jogged a little. Never in a million years would, I have believed it. I am amazed at how much stamina I have since starting. Now the first half mile is nothing. It was only a few weeks ago I dreading it and was huffing and puffing my way through a 1/4 of a mile. Anyway hope everyone is doing their thing and losing. Pru

                oops forgot to post yesterday about my cardio 45 min

                today was 60 min HIIT

                to answer your question when you are standing on the machine you are using more body muslcers at the same time so you get a better workout if you put the same amount of time and energy into your workout as you would biking. however the best thing to go is find one you like and if you hate them all them mix it up so you can express your displearure of them in short bursts.

                        I did arms and abs yesterday
                        today is the turn for my 20 min HIIT
