    Yay Pamela!

    Ok, I took the dog for a walk twice around and kinda jogged the last few minutes to give him a thrill! Hmm, maybe it was the neighbors I gave the thrill too, I'm sure it wasn't a pretty sight.

    I also went up and down my Mom's stairs 9.5 times. But, I went 1/2 way up then forgot something so I came half way back down so I'm calling it 10!

    Jimmie, I counted, there are 15 steps.

      Is it ok to join if I commit to 5 mins "extra" every day? I've been a slug while travelling this past week and need every little bit of extra push to get going again.

            Oh what the heck. I'll join this challenge. I already do exercise most days of the week. Maybe on the days I don't feel like exercising, the idea of just doing 5 minutes might get be going.

            Great idea for a challenge!

              I'm so sorry -- haven't meant to drop the ball on this but I have been sick sick sick with some kind of stomach flu for 3 days running. Back on my feet a bit today, but MUST go grocery shopping and run errands -- my 9 month old grandson is spending the weekend and I have things I need to do and clean to get ready...

              But this isn't a day to day challenge anyway -- it's a DO FIVE MINUTES OF ANYTHING YOU WANT (tho Jess's daily exercises look great) so long as it's five full non-stop minutes of exercise -- then report back on Sunday and we'll increase minutes each week.

              I will be back -- and I'll start my 5 minutes all over again today (does lifting 30 lbs of grandson count?)..

                yes the lifting counts as long as it's up and down and side to side and non stop for 5 minutes. lol

                oh i couldn't do the boxer for 5 minutes straight. i had to stop and give myself a 10 or 15 second break and then back at it. if it's any consolation i probably did 6 minutes total.

                  Ok... I'm starting tomorrow like a good procrastinator! Plan to add five mins to dog walk...which should please them!

                    who is dong the exercise of the day in here? i can't scroll back that far.

                    whoever did the leg raises for today, how many did you get done in the 5 minutes?

                          Well... this morning it's blowing a gale and pouring with rain. Dogs are sheltering...even they didn't want walkies!! So... I cleaned the house instead!
                          For the five mins... am about to go do the exercise of the day.

                            Yesterday in addition to my walk, I did some weights! Moving furniture into a truck, and out of a truck. More of that today!

                                as i read it, we are suppose to report here on sunday (that's today) and tell what we did, although i think we've been kinda doing it through the week.
                                the challenge was posted on the 4th, monday and that is the day i said i'd give it go.

                                monday - biked for 25 minutes
                                tuesday - 5 minutes of the EOTD, steps ups
                                wednesday - 5 minutes, EOTD, dumbbell lateral raises
                                thursday - 5 minutes, EOTD, boxer
                                friday - 5 minutes, EOTD, leg raises
                                saturday - 5 minutes, EOTD, dumbbell shrugs, 6.6 pound weights

                                on some days i did some other things but on other days, the 5 minutes was ll that i did.
