    Ok, I just walked my 3.1 miles (5k) and it took me 40 minutes. This is similar to a month ago. Tonight I'm going to go to the school gym to do my weight lifting max.
    HW=250+/222/GW=175 37F/5'7
    Revamped my WOL starting 2/10/08.

      Okay, here's what I did today (feel free to giggle, I've got no upper body strength ):

      Front Deltoid Dumbbell Raise (shoulders): 5lbs each hand
      Alternating Dumbbell Curls (biceps): 5lbs each hand
      Dumbbell Extensions (triceps): 15lbs
      Dumbbell Press (chest): 5lbs each hand
      Dumbell Stiff Leg Deadlifts (back): 30lbs
      Female 5'4" 26yrs
      SW 164.5/CW 152.5/GW 120
      Lowest weight: 123 (2006)
      MG 1: 150 MG 2: 140 MG 3: 135
      12 lbs lost!

        My starting time for 5K is 38:42

        My starting weights for my pick 5 exercises:
        Dumbell Flyes (free weight) 12x5, 10x10, 8x15 (I'm a weakling here and I even dropped the 15 lb weight in my left hand...)
        Bicep cable curls 12x40 10x50, 8x60
        Military Press 12x10, 10x20, 8x30
        Tricep cable pull down 12x40, 10x40, 8x40
        I haven't done the killerups for my abs yet....and have no idea how much weight I could do......

        I also did these exercises tonight
        Lat Pull Downs (cable) 12x40, 10x60, 8x80
        Squats 12x50, 10x70, 8x80
        1 mile run to the gym.

            And make a few comments about a veggie that you happen to find very appealing....

            Next thing you know, you are forever MARKED as some weird chick weight lifting in her prom dress while munching on Jicama.

              uhm. ok, yeah, for the record, I said "RUNNING" not weight lifting, why? Did you wear it to lift weights too??

              If it makes you feel any better I have 4 small jicamas sitting in my kitchen and became addicted to Whole Foods because of the board...

                  Hey Fatal....I was looking at your weight lifting numbers & one thing caught my eye. Are your triceps really that much stronger than your biceps? Usually it's the other way around with the triceps being a smaller & weaker set of muscles. Just curious!

                    I know, it boggles the mind. I can actually flex my triceps but my biceps seem to be on permanent vacation.

                      If it makes you feel any better Fatal, I do preacher curls with 5lb weights on the bar, and do skull crushers with 10lb weights on the *same* bar...

                          Uhm. Using the funny shaped preacher curl bar, lay on your back on a bench, use an inside grip on the bar, straighten your arms above you, like, knuckles towards the ceiling. Only bending at the elbows, keeping your wrists straight, try and hit yourself in the forehead (without *actually* hitting yourself) with the middle of the bar.

                            Okay...gotcha. I've done those before...though shapefit doesn't call them skullcrushers. I kinda like it tho....now I'm gonna go in the gym and do skullcrushers. It just sounds weight lifterish.

                            I'm so cheesy.

                            In fact, I want to change my tricep exercise to skull crushers just to be cool and then I can say the name lots of times. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

                                Valid, that's so weird about those biceps. At least with stronger triceps, you shouldn't have old-lady chicken flaps!!!
