    Sooo... Here's the official KATA2 Sign-up. Let's see how many folks we can get to torture and push themselves this time around!! C'mon, we need more than 2 people to finish!!!

      I'll sign up (I missed out on the first one and don't want to miss the opportunity for the second), but I need to ask you some stuff first to see if I need to drop another challenge...???

        Yes, you can use the same mileage/times/etc for this that you use for others. I'm not *that* psychotic. I think that finishing is already tough enough.

        No Adena, you first sign-up, then I tell you what you have volunteered yourself for.

          Ok, here's how it works. It's a triathalon, so there are 3 legs. You sign up for which 3 things you want to do from the following list:

          running (treadmill/outside/skipping/hopping/jumping/cartwheeling/etc) - 30 miles
          elliptical - 30 miles
          swimming - 10 miles
          rowing - 30 miles
          stairclimber - 25 miles
          bicycle - 100 miles

          If you want something else listed, just name it and we'll figure out a distance that will be considered torturous...

          If you have *not* completed a previous triathalon and have a good reason, you may choose 2 instead of 3, which means you would do one twice. You may not do the same activity for all 3 legs (unless you're a bunny and the only thing you know how to do is hop, in which case I need a state or federal issued picture ID). The preference here is, of course, to have everyone do all 3.

            Okay, I'm in. I'll do running and bicyle, IF we can count spin class toward bike miles, and IF we don't have to finish one task before we move on to another, which I believe is a revision you said you were considering for KATA2, correct?

            My "good reason" for only doing two is that I really want to take body pump class two days a week, which seriously cuts into my available gym time. Is that reason enough?

              Ummm... I'm thinking that if you're going to be doing them at the same time, you should be doing all 3... it's 6 weeks, and I know your workout schedule. You can run over 13 miles in one *day*.

                    So I can count miles for all three legs simultaneously? I don't have to finish the bike leg before I can report the running leg? Or are you giving me tougher rules because I did the first KATA?

                    *IF* I can count all three legs simultaneously, then I'd like RUNNING, BIKE, and STAIRCLIMBER. I hate the stairclimber because it hurts, so I figure I might as well get better at it.

                      I lready commited to the April Mileage challenge for 300 miles.....does that mean I just use them here for this?

                      If I picked Bike x 2 that means 200 miles on bike?

                      And I could use my WATP miles for number 3?

                        Grr.. I was *CONSIDERING* letting people do that. No, Julie, you cannot. Beings as you finished the first one, you get nothing special, sorry. I *am* trying to keep it challenging so people have to work hard in order to do this, but I would prefer having more than 2 people complete it this time.

                          Lady Hawke - is there a reason why you couldn't do another thing instead of 2 bike (like no access to other equip, etc)? If there is, yes, you could do bike, watp, bike...

                            OK, then count me out. There's no way I'm going to be able to finish this doing the three legs separately with the end of the school year approaching...unless I spend 3 hours a day at the gym.
