  • May Stability Ball Exercise Challenge sign up/reporting thread

    Exercises that count in this challenge include, but are not limited to:

    lying hamstring curls
    tricep extensions
    reverse crunches
    lying leg press
    push ups
    jackknife
    stretching
    slow swim
    side plank
    seated leg extension
    bridge ball squats
    1 arm rows


    ........... any exercise that you are using your stability ball will count.
    More SB exercises can be found by clicking on the following, SPARK PEOPLE and be sure to check out the Tuesday and Thursday posting of the Exercise of the Day in the Exercise Forum. You might find some things being posted that could very well be done using the ball.

    Please state how many minutes you are committing to in May, in this thread and then during the month try to check in each time you rack up the minutes.

    i'm in but i going to have to rethink the numbers for may. i have pressing things coming up and i know i won't be able to do 255 minutes as i did in april.

    considering the challenges i have facing me for me may, i'll commit to 190 minutes. i have no clue if i can reach that. therein lies the challenge.

          Good luck on the move, Jimmie. That's hard work!

          This morning, I did 15 minutes of stretches on the ball. It was difficult to balance myself because of my right knee.
          HW=250+/222/GW=175 37F/5'7
          Revamped my WOL starting 2/10/08.

            i think i'll be doing this alot this month with the box loading, carrying, unpacking and so on. stretching will be good.

                No ball work on May 2 and I can tell that I didn't stretch--I feel stiff and tight all over. I also miss doing a lot of my exercises, but my knee is still pretty swollen so I won't be doing anything that puts a lot of pressure on it.

                This morning, I did 20 minutes of stretching. I will try to get another set in during lunch, but I'll report it when I get it done.
