I SO want to try this one. What I'd like to do is a modified crunch that works on balance, upper abs, and the obliques at the same time. So I'm going to be seated on the stability ball and instead of just crunching straight up and down, I'm going to do slow circles---Ooh! Plus, one of my favorite complementary exercises is the reverse crunch, where I balance myself with my tummy on the ball and my toes on the ground....then with my hands clasped behind my head, I slowly lean my torso down as far as I can go, then crunch upward letting my back muscles bring my torso up. The first time I ever did these, I swear when I was done with just one set, I actually felt like someone's hands were resting on either side of my lower back. It was so intense. I'd never isolated those muscles before, so I was feeling them work for the very first time! What a feeling!!! I guess I need to go try the stability ball challenge as well. I guess this is my way of easing back in.
P.S.
Oh my God!! I just tried to do a few of these to see how many I should pledge to do and I almost had a cow, just trying to get into position! This is really going to take some time for me. It's been a LONG, LONG time ago since I've truly been into fitness. The good news is, I used to be really into it, and I actually liked it, so that's half the battle, right?
