In honor of women everywhere, I'm going to
wog a 5k in the Race for a Cure for Breast Cancer with two friends next Saturday, May 9th.
We've dubed ourselves "Woggers for the Ta-Ta's". The team name for the Ta-Ta's was taken when we registered, we love it so much we'll just pretend that's our name any ways, but that's not stopping us from joinging in the race to save the ta-ta's and raise funds to fight cancer. And I'll post here before and after to share in the gory details of wogging with one who is a marathon runner and one who is a walker...together we'll wog our way to the finish line.
I'm not a cancer survivor, but I know someone who is.
I've not been through the chemotherapy or surgery, but I know someone who has.
I didn't lose my mother, sister, daughter, aunt, or friend to cancer, but I know someone who has.
I haven't had to face the "what if" and plan for my family's future without me, but I know someone who has.
I hope you'll join me wherever you are at next Saturday, May 9th to walk/run/jog/sprint/roll/move your feet to do a 5k (that's 3.1 miles...approximately).
Please don't let the title of "Wogging to Save the Ta-Ta's" scare you away from joining me on this walk for a cure!
Anyone is welcomed and encouraged to join in this challenge for any type of cancer, and for any man, woman, and child. After all, cancer has no ethnic or gender or age boundaries.
Let's race for the cure together!
