  • July Stability Ball Exercise Challenge ~ sign up/reporting thread

    If you're looking for a challenge that will work on your core and help you with stability and strength, this is for you!!

    Incorporating the stability ball into your usual routine will challenge your body in new ways and break up the monotony of exercises that have gone a bit stale.

    Need some ideas about which exercises to use with a stability ball?

    Exercises that count in this challenge include, but are NOT limited to, the following:

    lying hamstring curls
    tricep extensions
    reverse crunches
    lying leg press
    push ups
    jackknife
    stretching
    slow swim
    side plank
    seated leg extension
    bridge ball squats
    rows
    stability ball exercise tapes/DVD's



    Basically, any exercise that you do using your stability ball will count!

    NOTE THE CHANGE IN THE WAY THE TALLY IS DONE!!!!
    YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR MINUTES. I
    WILL NOT BE TRACKING OR ADDING UP ANYBODYS MINUTES BUT MINE. I WILL HOWEVER HAND OUT AWARDS WHEN THE TIME COMES.

            Did 16 yesterday (July 1st). 20 were planned, but a brainy guy had a sad rice experiment in the kitchen, managed to trigger the fire alarm and we all had to evacuate the building (it was 11pm!).

              about half of that was stretching and the other half was using my dumbells w/ the ball

                    heidi, great to see you are off to a good start! maybe this month will be kinder to all of us.

                    i am so sore from yesterday's work that i got up and did 12 minutes of stab. ball stretching.

                            7/4 - 0 skipped today feeling a lil yucky

                            7/7 - 12

                            88/300

                            I will post tonights minutes next time as I haven't done them yet!
                            Today is Courtney's (daughter #3) 21st Birthday ......... She's the mommy of our little miracle baby Alyssa, I haven't spoke to her yet today she was working but I need to get off here and assemble the fam so we can call and sing happy Birthday to her! Have a great evening ladies!
