                          I'm pulling out of this challenge, been a while since I have done push ups and I'm falling behind my target.
                          I'll get into it again slowly and sign up again at a later stage when I'm able to
                          Heaviest weight - 350 lbs

                          Atkins Start weight – 333 lbs

                          Current weight 282 lbs

                          1st major goal 310 lbs (25 December 2009 at 43 days)
                          2nd major goal 290 lbs (08 February 2010 at 88 days)
                          3rd major goal 270 lbs
                          4th major goal 250 lbs


                          Goal weight - 240

                              Yep I agree with liv. Adjust your goal but keep at it. If you drop out chances are you won't work at it at all. I good goal for the first time is 10 a day--and you dont have to do them all at once.

                                Hi Gnimpish, I agree that the pushups are hard....but....I don't do 'real' pushups, I use the stairs That way, my body is parallel to the stairs, and the steeper the stairs the easier it is to do them. I use the 4th stair from the bottom.
                                And who says you have to do 10 all at once? Do 5 sets of 2, with a one minute rest in between each set of 2. And only go down as low as you can, and be able to push back up.
                                Also, if you still find them really too difficult, perhaps you could use the wall (wall pushups) or even the kitchen/bathroom counter. As you get better at it, you can change them up I can't do all mine from my knees, I use the stairs for half, in fact, depending on how my body feels, I may use the stairs for all of them, like I did today

                                So, my dear, there are lots of ways to tweak this exercise to suit our own bodies. It's great for our chests and arms, and I really hope you keep going
