    We have a good blazing the upper body challenge going on so I thought I would add a good butt and thigh challenge. Who does not want a nice tight butt for the shorts season. So join up This one is good to combine with doing squats (which is another challenge you can sign up for)

    I suggest combining lunges. Do some holds and some static ones and also some forward and backward ones every day you do lunges. If you are strong work in some weights but that is not necessary. Believe me they burn




    We will count the lunges just like we count the squats. So pledge your monthly total. If you do static lunges that you hold, count your breath (inhale, exhale) as one lunge

    Other exercises for glutes
    are leg raises and fire hydrants. Do some of those to if you have time. And of course some squeezes that you can do anything helps too.

    I would like in on this! It'll be my first challenge. I think I could do 100 a day... so put me down for 3,000.

    Starts in April right?

    4: 165 pounds (driver's license weight)
    5: size 14 jeans
    6: 149 pounds (no longer over weight)
    7: 140 pounds (prepregnancy weight)
    135= weight on wedding day
    123= weight on high school graduation

      100 a day is a lot. I am thinking I will try for less than 1000 for sure. If you are very strong you may want to add some weights to them so that you work up strength rather than just push numbers. And for muscels to build - like the glutes - they require rest so make sure you have rest days.

      Lunges have been great tightners for me. But I do them 2 or 3 times a week tops.

        I tend to walk around doing lunges all day long. LOL. My butt is probably my best asset!

        How about I make it a point to add some weight and only concentrate on them 3 days a week. So that's 1200 a month.

            Welcome Barrnone. I like starting small. These can really have an impact. Also if you are not used to them don't go too deep in the beginning. Ease into it. Lunges are simple but good. I also like that the ones where you step into them and step back work on your core. And when I feel adventurous I do bicep curls at the same time or wide arm raises so I get a lot done in some swoop.

                    Welcome Kristan and Lovingthyself. I am excited to have you here.
                    And thanks for considering it michelley. If my knees were protesting I would not go very far into it and build up strength slowly. And definitely warm up first a few minutes to get some heat in body before challenging those muscles.
