5.33 miles in 64 minutes tonight after sunset. I am liking this running after dark thing .. no sun, no sunburn .. just gotta keep my mouth shut so I don't eat the bugs!
Oh, man today was Killer TOM is steaming towards me and you know what that means. Well, I am totally drained I'm dragging my *** sooo bad. I did however get my but on the treadmill and run 5 miles I didn't want to and I really dispised every minute of it but, in the end I am so glad I did it and cause I did I will feel better about myself. Oh, I hate TOM it really throws a screw into everything. Darn it.

I've decided to slack off a little this week with the running since I'm currently in a 3 week training period at the new job. After 8 hours of training a day, I'm pretty well spent .. so I figure if I can do, say, 20-25 miles a week until I learn this job, that should keep me toned without burning me totally out.
Besides, from what I've read, its a good thing to cut back your miles periodically to give the muscles/joints a chance to catch up to the stress of rigorous running.
Don't worry none, though .. I'll be back at 35+ miles a week soon!
Betty, I was just reading that exact same thing today! Not that I run anywhere as much as you do. I'm so glad that you're enjoying your new job. Congratulations again.
I did a 7.5k run and a 20k bike ride today. Weight day for me tomorrow.
Everyone is doing so well. I feel ashamed of how little I have done this week. Both of my little guys have colds so I have spent most of the nights this week up making sure they can breath thru their stuffy noses and keeping fevers at bay. I know that should not matter, but it has just zapped my energy and I haven't been able to get up and run. Which in turn makes me feel very depressed. They are getting better and I plan on getting my 13+ in this weekend at my MIL. Have a great weekend everyone. You all inspire me so much.
Hey no Worried Tex I totally know what that is like I have been there far 2 many times. 2 of my kiddos have colds right now the thing I have found that works the best so you get yourself some sleep is Eucalyptus oil. You can buy it in the drug store what ya do is you put some in a pot and boil it the fumes open up the nasal passages and as a plus it's a natural anti viral anti bacterial so just boiling it you are killing hte bug as well that should really help tou.
I did Pilates today I may run I am actually feeling energetic so I may just do my run as well. The Pilates was hard it felt really great to do something elese.

Okay........last day of the week ............ so I finished with a 10.7 mile run. A pretty good workout after a busy first week on the job!! 21.2 miles this week.
Next week, hopefully a few more miles!
I did 3 miles in 26 minutes on Tuesday, and then did 4 miles in just over 34 minutes today. The first 5k was done in 23:45, but the course I took today was gradual downhill for the first mile or so. Easy way to start to run -- on the plus I lost another 2 pounds today.
