Well, it's over, and I couldn't have hoped for a better first 5K experience.
I did the Race for the Cure on Saturday and finished in 36:36, which I was happy with. It was a cloudy, 50 degree day and GREAT weather for running. I had a little fan club (my partner and my best friend) and I didn't have to walk at all during the run and was even able to really churn on the speed near the end. Afterward we celebrated with breakfast out (I try to go easy on the sausage, generally, but I had 3 celebratory patties Saturday morning *g*) and I came home and got overzealous cleaning the house because I was so proud and energetic.
Now I have just over a month until my first 8K (5 miles!) and I am really looking forward to it!
I couldn't have done it without all of your support these past few months. I really mean that. {{{ADBB Exercise list}}}
