Congratulations, Reveal, you've got "the bug".

If you find yourself researching marathons and then counting the weeks on your calendar, don't turn back, just lace up and take advantage of the spell you've fallen under!

And yes, that's the best way to tour the country. I did a 26.2 mile tour of Chicago, and it only cost me $90 plus 6 months of training

I agree with Effie, amazing way to travel. I have already told my hubbie that I want to do a marathon before my 30th b-day. I will be 27 this month. I have also left info on the Paris Marthon "accidentally" up on the computer screen to give him the hint. He really loves me and my newly found zest for running, so of course he his already looking into prices ect. I am such a lucky girl. I am so happy to have a group of kindred spirits to share my passion with.

I am running tonight as we were up late carving pumpkins.-- Gotta go get the seeds out of the oven. I will check in later to let you know how my run went.

LOL! Well, I do dream of doing the London marathon one day. I lived there for 5 years and it would be a sort of karmic gift to be able to run it one day. I'm trying not to get my hopes up though, since I'm only running about 4-5 miles these days.

I hate this TOM it totally sucks and so does my ambition. I feel horrible. I will probably run today but, will have to runwithout my IPOD stupid thing won't freaken work any more on my puter it's pissing me off so bad I can't tell you how bad damn it. I will buy a battery for moy other MP3 player but at most it only carries 9 songs so not too much variety I may just get an up greade for it here so that I can put more tunes on it and **** with the IPOD.

Re: Cool Running for the week of October 9th, 2005

2.25 miles for me this morning. Not very fast, either, took me 30:00.

I haven't been running much lately because I just don't feel like it. I don't know if it's the weather or what. I have been exercising more than usual though, since I joined the 6WEC. I've mostly been either walking or doing step aerobics/weights at home.

I still have that 5K on 10/29, so I can't give up completely yet!

two little miles this morning. Really not feeling well, fever earache. Oh well--I am dancing between getting in miles and not overdoing it. A few "rest" days seems better than a few weeks with pnemonia.-- Only three weeks and one day left. Not much room for error.

I've got a cold too, tex. Seems to be some bug going around our house. Thankfully, I'm off work today. I managed to get 4k in this morning and my upper body weights. Now I'm gonna crawl back into bed and see if I can shake this cold. I'll be curling tonight too so hopefully I'll have the energy for it! Have a great day everyone.

Sarah, luck is one thing you DON'T need ... you have more DETERMINATION than anyone I know! As for the fartleks, YES YES YES, they not only help break plateaus, but they really increase your overall speed the more you do them. Great job sweetie!
