    What a wuss I am today .. 3.5 miles and struggled to do that! I was trying to figure out why I felt so weak today .. then it dawned on me .. I have had NO veggies for 2 days! And a whopping total of 5 carbs all day today. I SHOULD KNOW BETTER! GRRR.

        Alright, hill repeats--7 of them, ouch!--done, including a mile run to the hill and back. After that, more fun at my dance class; I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow!

          I'm back from my conference, and in the 10 days I was gone I only ran *twice*! :P It turns out I hate running on a treadmill. But I did 4.5 miles last night in 49 minutes, which was better than I expected. I'm running my 8K this weekend and feeling VERY guilty for having had such trouble while I was gone. I did walk a ton, but last night I could tell I was a little weaker than I'd been when I left. I don't want to overdo it, but I might do 3 miles tonight, then maybe 3 tomorrow night and then take Friday off in preparation for Saturday's race. Any ideas? I know I *can* do 5 miles - last night proves it - but I want to feel strong and not worn out or unprepared.

          On the plus side I'm not even sore today.

            Great Job everyone. I didn't get out yesterday dang hubbies work. I have made a contract with myself to get 8 miles in today, you all are my witnesses.

            Betty, you nut. 3.5 is great. Now you KNOW what you are supposed to be eating, do it. I would hate to have to get out my cattle prod.

            Belinda you have an endless supply of energy, wow.

            Sarah--Well you know you rock.... But I still like to tell ya!!!

            Jim--If anyone has a good reason to stray it is you. You are doing great and it is no mystery where that lovely little button of yours gets her strength!!!

            Revel--Don't worry about it, as Betty reminded me last week life gets in the way sometimes. I really slacked the two weeks before my race and still had a blast. Will I do things differently next time?? YES, but that is why we live, to learn. You will be awesome on Sat. We will be cheering!!!

              9 miles on the treadmill I do it cause it's all I can do and hey at least I am doing it. I really would rather be outside but, when you got so many little ones ya just do what you can.

                The treadmills counts, Sarah!! Great job, girlfriend!

                I just finished 6.3 tonight. Ah, the weather is so cool and nice!!! Good riddance to the steamy heat of summer!!

                I ate my veggies last night and tonight and felt WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY stronger! Let that be a lesson to me and to all: EAT YOUR VEGGIES!

                  1 mile walking and running with my 4 year old.--I have made a little runner out of him after watching the race. I can't believe it. Then I walked him back to the house picked up my MP3 and did my 8 miles. I am going to have to take "Let the Sunshine In"-Aquaris off because I can't keep my butt still when it comes on--I don't think stopping to do a little disco jive mid race is going to help my time. LMAO. What kind of ear buds/phones do you all use? I can already tell I am going to have to upgrade.-- Way to go everyone see ya in the AM.

                    I have the ones that wrap around the ears the ear buds hurt me the ones I have go around the back of the head and over my ears I love them and they POUND YA!!

                      Well 5 more miles today. It is very humid here today, should get a nice rain and slight temp decrease tomorrow. (where is winter?) I am heading to Wal-mart when hubbie gets home to check out some new "speakers" for my mp3. I am hoping to get at least 4 miles in the am to round me out at 30 for the week. I am also re-inducing, I can feel the positive difference it is making in my runs. Where are you all??-Hope all is well.

                        Did 7 yesterday OUTSIDE yay it was excellent wen't really well I felt great my legs are really sore today though OUCH from the pavement didn't bug me yesterday adn I felt like I could ahve run for hours WOOHOO gotta love it. 36 miles for this week done tomorrow is 4 miles in preparation for 14 on Sunday.

                            4 miles alt walk and run this am. Legs are really tight. 10 or more tomorrow. Great job everyone.

                                I have done 12 miles (5k, 3- 2.5m, and a 2-mile) this week. I am still nowhere near the 10k for the upcoming race, but I figure I will look good for 2 miles stretches in between collapsing on the trail of exhaustion. To the positive, I hit my new low today, which means its photo day later.
