Congrats on your new low, Kent!
Way to go on your mileage, Betty!

Today was supposed to be 11 mi, but we decided they miscalculated--it was more like 11.75 or so (really close to 12, anyway)--1:57:03--with a nice hill we climbed twice! That hill training really works, though--it wasn't nearly as difficult as it was a month ago--the last time we ran on that trail...

Had another great ice bath--feeling great, now!

Had a great 5lb. "whoosh" the other day--finally back down to 139.5 after about 7 months of varying between 144-147--I guess my body decided it could let go--not under the stress anymore...haha

    Great job everyone!

I ran an 8k this weekend, and I did it in 55 minutes, so I'm quite proud. I wanted to finish in under an hour and I managed to do it, and it went great. Weirdly, when I finished I had this sudden desire to burst into tears, and I really had to fight to get control of my emotions. It wasn't related to anything in particular, and I've heard that it could be just the buildup of adrenaline, and I could see that if I'd just run a marathon, but this seemed a little weird. Anyone else ever have that happen?
