Hello all you wonderful exercisers out there!

I have a question for ya...I am into week 2 of actually exercising! I did the three mile walk with Leslie Sansone today and it took 45 minutes. I had been doing the two mile (30 minutes) and I felt ok when I finished it, but today I could really tell a difference when I did the extra 15 minutes. I have felt different ever since I did it today--like I am all warm and tingly all over and I feel like I could kick someone's if I wanted to. Is this how I am supposed to feel after exercise?

Sure is. I find 45 mins is about right too. After 30 I'll feel tired, but the more I do (up to a point) the more 'energised' I feel. Great, isn't it?

If you're picturing yourself as Rocky during/after your exercise, then you're doing it right!

I frequently have what I call "superhero" fantasies when I'm exercising. I can't control them, but I envision myself saving the world with my superhuman strength, or outrunning a train to save an animal caught on the tracks, etc. It only happens when I'm really in the groove, and yes, it's usually over the 30 minute mark as well.

              Kent,

Thanks for the support! I am trying to push through a barrier of 260 here. I put the scale away because since I have started exercising I have been gaining weight.

Here is a dumb question...my husband claims I am working out too much. He said you are supposed to rest one day between each exercise session. Isn't that just if you are doing weights though? Kent, Betty or Brook or you other exercise gurus, do you know?

                  GREAT JOB, DEB!!!

As for the rest day .. I never took a rest day until I started running ALOT of miles .. say 6 miles a day .. then I would rest a day in between. I still pretty much stick to that schedule. 6 miles on Mon, Wed, Thurs, 13.5 on Saturday and rest days are Tues, Fri & Sun.

                  Hope that helps!

                  YOU ARE ROCKIN'!!

Thanks for all your support. I am feeling a little weird right now though-- all clammy and light-headed. Maybe I need to eat before I exercise or something.

YA I would say eat about 1 hour before exercise so ya doing get that again. it doesn't have to be a lot Just a HB egg or somehting to give you some protein before your workout. SO next time eat a small amount before then eat after your regular. ANd be sure you are drinking as you exercise as well. If you ever feel dizzy when you are exercising be sure that you stop cause it means you're pushing too hard K. (((HUGS)) now go have breakfast.
