    I do fine with the bands for the bent rows, biceps and triceps, but for the shoulder work I have to switch to hand weights. I use 5 or 8lb dumbbells for it, depending on how strong (or weak! LOL) I'm feeling. I tried using my resistance band for it and it just pinches the heck out of me!!

    Just got home from work. I'm going to head for bed soon. I'm hoping when I get up I'm feeling up to BIU!!! I don't want to get any further behind! I'm finding that when I'm not working out I'm eating MUCH crappier and this will just never do.

      Good Morning!

      Some of you must have some serious strength if you are using 5 and 8 lb dumbbells. My arms get so weak from RIU and I am lucky to even lift 3 pound weights. All of the arm movements leave me feeling floppy like a rag doll.

      My knees get really crunchy sounding when I work on the @sscrampers. It sounds like someone is smashing bags of chips. By the time this challenge is done I will be needing artificial knees!

      RIU completed this morning. My dog provided resistance during the push-ups. He thought he needed to sit on my back when I got down on the floor. Slim & 6 Pack will be this afternoon.

        When I first started Si6 way back when, I had to modify the asscrampers too. The way I started was by laying over the ottoman. Seriously. Some of you might want to give it a shot if your knees give you too much heck. The other thing you can do is stand while leaning/supporting yourself over the back of a chair. I found I had to work a little harder to keep my abs in, but the exercises were still very effective and targeted the right area!! My butt still hurt!

              This is so weird. I did not have a problem with the bands in SIU and RIU but cannot get through the BIU with the bands. I switched to 5lb weights, but forget getting through the trapezius(oops meant tricep) stuff with those. So yesterday I went to 3 pounders. I was able to get through with just a little discomfort. I was wondering if I am a wimp?? LOL.

              Barb, I started with 5 pounds and they were too heavy...so I went to 3 and now I'm able to switch from the 3 to 5's for some of the exercises.

                Now, I have to whine....my whole body is sore tired and sore, it woke me up this morning. owwwww!

                I've taken my ibuprofen and I'll be ready to workout...some time later today!

                  Ramp it Up and Slim and Limber completed for today. I feel good, pushing a lot harder/deeper now on all the legwork - By the time my Burn it Up video arrives I *may* actually be ready for it.

                  In RIU, I use the resistance bands for the rows and shoulder presses, and then I use 5 lb weights for biceps and triceps. I think I have to go up in weight for the biceps, though, or throw in a few extra reps. Has anyone else noticed that she does more tricep work on the left side than the right? I think it's 18 reps on the right side and 24 on the left.

                    Thanks Shelly. You know? I throw cases of soda around all day! I really thought I had more upper body strength?

                      Started to do Ramp It Up and got very light headed and dizzy. Stopped at the first plie' (SP?) phase and did Slim and Limber.

                      Will try RIU again later today.

                        My butt cheeks hurt today....and my daughter is pestering me to do another workout....NOW! I'm gonna try to put her off until this evening. My butt might feel better by then but I doubt it.

                                Anna, YES!! When I was doing RIU, that used to drive me crazy. She throws the extra 8 reps in when you're doing the second arm. So I would just start with my left arm every other day, since I knew she was going to do that nonsense. It's so weird!!
