    Tony Horton Power Half Hour
The best thing that I like about this series is that it comes with two additional videos --
Ab Ripper 100 (4 minutes) 10 exercises, 10 times each
Ab Ripper 200 (8 minutes) same 10 exercises, 20 times each

Wow, you say, just 4 minutes of abs? Wow, you say, just 8 minutes of abs? Try saying that and actually doing the routines at the same time. He has something with your feet in the air (I think "airplane") that will actually make you hate him.

The Power Half Hour is also in two parts.
Beginner cardio and sculpting (2 videos)
Advanced cardio and sculpting (2 videos)

Its been a while since I have done these, but I know it seems more bouncy than Debbie's stuff. Lots of that fake boxing.

      Boxermom,

The only Tamilee Webb stuff that I have is the stretching videos, although I've read excellent reviews of the effectiveness of the "I want that body" series, if you can get past the cheesiness. Her manner in the stretching videos is very nice and soothing. I don't find her annoying at all, and I'm very easily annoyed by exercise personalities. Also, the stretches are doable for a not very flexible person. Someone on another site described it as doing a stretch with your slightly more flexible friend. They're very similar to the slim and limber routine, but it's nice to have variety.

Turner- You read my mind. I wasn't thinking 8 minutes with Tony was bad until I read a little further. I feel some pain in my future. With Beachbody's mailing problems I needn't worry for several weeks.

Anna-The only Tamilee video I have is "I Want That Body" and I really like it. Thanks for your opinion.

Tomorrow is the big day for our new challenge. I have mixed emotions. I want to do it but the idea of having 42 workouts waiting for me is intimidating. I was so burned out on Ms. Pixie that I haven't touched a video since Christmas. I am going to be a blubbery bawlbaby tomorrow when Chalene starts cracking the exercise whip at me.

My TJ came with "Learn and Burn" or something like that. Necessary? Unnecessary?

Saw this on another board and it had me laughing out loud. It seems pretty appropriate as we enter Round 2 of the Vidiots challenge:

            WEEK ONE: RECOVERY WEEK
Just kidding. Get back to work you weenies. There IS no Recovery Week here. Na na na na na...

MONDAY: Wacky jack down to your local 7-11 while carrying someone who weighs more than you on your back. While doing this workout, make sure to keep your neck elongated and your stomach in tight to protect your lower back. No 7-11 close by? Well wacky jack until you find one. This is Round 2 after all. (Though it might preserve your reputation in the neighborhood if the neighbors didn't see you.)

TUESDAY: Simultaneously wrestle two alligators. (Note: During this routine it would be helpful to keep your shoulders off the floor.)

WEDNESDAY: Practice wide leg squats for 60 minutes while balancing a sumo wrestler on each knee. For the second hour, add calf raises to your squats. With the added weight of the wrestlers, this may cause your calves to burn a little, but hey - think how happy the sumos will be getting goosed.

THURSDAY: Herd 300 head of steer 200 miles on horseback. Be careful not to cross your Lactate Threshold here or your butt may be a little tender the next day.

FRIDAY: Now that you've got the steer there, rope and brand 'em. Avoid scratches and horn punctures where possible as blood loss tends to reduce glycogen levels.

SATURDAY: Play Frogger. Run back and forth across 6 lanes of heavy expressway traffic until you've done the equivalent of a 15 mile sprint. This is a great cardio workout and might be a good opportunity to measure your maximum heart rate. It will also keep you light on your feet.

SUNDAY: (What? ...You were looking for a REST? ... Forget it.) Climb Mt. Everest using only your mountain bike. Though this may be a little cold and icy, it will impress Steve and give him something to aspire to for next year's birthday challenge. If you want to impress Tony too, you can sing show tunes from the musical "Oklahoma!" while doing your climb. "OOOOOOK-lahoma where the winds go whipping down the plains..."

Repeat these exercises for the remaining 4 weeks of the program, though you may elect to swap workout days if the 200 mile trip or the Everest climb is inconvenient on a particular day.

Woohoo, turner! I'm glad you got it and get to skip all the billing BS!

Turner, if you haven't done a TJ workout yet, I'd really suggest taking at least one run-through Learn & Burn. It really details what muscles you're supposed to be focusing on and how to isolate them during the various moves.

I adore Tony Horton! People either love him or hate him. PHH is the only BB set I have that I haven't worked through yet, so I can't comment on what I think of the program, but I've heard nothing but fabulous stuff about it. Most people say that their introduction to Tony via PHH is what made them buy P90. If it went the other way around they weren't as likely to buy PHH. How funny is that? I like him in P90, so I'm hoping I'll adore him even more (while I hate him for making me hurt) in PHH.

              lawyer - That's TOO funny!!!

Well, we'd better start a new Vidiot thread and let this Si6 HoP die a slow Si6 death

Post away, Brook! I can't wait to get started with MIU tomorrow. I just ripped the plastic off of my Slim Series videos so I'll be all ready to go.

It's weird, during this week off, I've been trying out all sorts of different workout combinations - YBB, pilates, stretch, and other cardio. The only thing that I've felt, though, is when I did SIU yesterday. Even Debbie's "easy" routine knocks the stuffing out of me the way nothing else can.

Another interesting thing - I've dropped about 2 lbs during the week off, even though I've been eating terribly (I even tried the bread pudding at Applebee's yesterday, I admit it.) I guess that I was retaining a ton of water due to muscle fatigue. So, I expect that it will be going right back on, starting tomorrow.

I did burn it up last night right after doing 60 minutes on the treadmill. My daughter wanted to do it with me. She set everything up in the basement and wanted to work out.
