Turner- Cool beans on your discount. I will have to remember that for future purchases.

Brook- I'm sorry I asked about the length of those other videos. I think the next challenge may be more painful than what we are doing. I better start resting up because I am going to need my energy.

Got home from training session today, and was exhausted, but dh put up some dinner, and I proceeded to do BIU! Pushed myself through the whole thing and now I think I pulled my hamstring! My Leg on top is really sore, and hurts when I walk. Hoping this is just a mild sprain. We'll see tomorrow!

I'm burned out on Debbie too! But I did complete BIU this morning, and I'm feeling really fine. I still dread when the lunge part comes, but I can get through them, most of the time keeping my balance, even. I mean, this is ridiculous, the lunge segment doesn't really last that long, and I dread it the whole way till we get to that point. Then I feel "free" because I got through it. Its crazy! Give me a$$crampers and the weight segment any day over those lunges.

Me too FG. I am right there with ya! Stupid lunges! I feel the exact same way about dreading it up until then. The stupid segment is only 4 minutes! It shouldn't be that bad! What is up with that??
OK, finishing my eggs then I am going to go Burn it UP, darn it!

RIU completed for today. Yeah! It's been a whole week since I have done it!
                    I'm baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!
Being that I am 22 workout completed I thought it would be the opportune time to ask
How am I supposed to do the lunges? Where do I distribute the weight? The problem is the reverse lunges. My foot that goes to the back feels awful when I am doing them. Do you think that it would hurt if I just did front lunges instead?

                      OK, BIU done!! Whew!
                      Those lunges again! Arrgg!
Turner, The only thing that I have found to make it any slight bit easier is to start out in the lunge position. I get myself set up in the lunge and then start from there. Does that make sense? As opposed to starting from the standing position? I got through the right side fine today. Not the left. I marched a little after falling over !

I'd use a chair for balance too, and don't try to keep up with the amount of reps she's doing!!.....Slow them down until you've got your form for the reverse lunges on lock. The balance and weight distribution for them can be pretty tough to master, ya know?!

I'm hoping to be back to RIU'ing it in the next couple of days. After yesterday's castrophe on the treadmill....I'm gunshy WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I swear. I can HEAR myself getting fatter.

Maybe I'll just do the resistance band section and 6pack today? Can't hurt to try, right?

It was calling to me, FG. It was. I could hear it calling to me from down the hall and it sorta sounded like 2big saying "Ohhhhh poser-Treadmill-Treckie-who's-done-NOTHING...youuuuuuuuu big sisssssssssssssy."

I couldn't take it. I threw on my shoes, grabbed my Ipod, stuffed my pocket full of Kleenex's and down I went.

My incline varied from 6 to 11%. My speed varied from 3.5mph to 5mph. My heart rate topped out at 168. - It didn't get that high because of the speed or the incline - but because of the coughing spasms wracking my body while I was trying to keep my feet underneathe me and praying it didn't shoot me off the end of that thing while I was choking. I lasted 32 minutes out of sheer frustration and stubborness before the last coughing spasm had my head feeling like it was going to explode. I cussed, swore, pouted, whined....and came home - still choking and unable to catch my breath- only to find myself locked out of my apartment by my rotten little kids. I had to walk around to the outside of the building - all sweaty and still in the midst of a giant coughing spasm - into the <10 degree cold and come in through the patio. Needless to say, I was NOT happy. It took me 10+ minutes to get my coughing to settle down enough to talk.

                            Ugh.

                            Yep. It kicked my @ss.

Gee whiz, Brook, you had one heck of a workout, especially considering your sick! You are tough!

Plus the added bonus workout of being locked out and getting frustrated. I bet that had your heart-rate jumping.

I enjoy hearing your stories, you are very descriptive. I feel like I'm there with you!
