well if you are strong hold him behind your head armes bent elbows to ceiling and then straighten out your arms over your head with him toward the ceiling or hold him in front arms out straight. bring him in for a kiss or to rub noses bending from the elbow then strainght back out biceps in triceps out.
now it you want legs... sit and allow him to ride your shine whilke you straighten your knee lifting him on your shin infront of you yo could lay face down and do leg curls with him sitting on your cafl too see you got your very one personal exercise machine in him.

I don't think you are strong wenough but you could use both of them one in each hand and do flys and do curls too.

of course do not do a Michel jackson and do this over a balcony rail. have something soft to land on just in case.

the festival was hot and a lot of walking but the WWII reinactment with the guns was fun for her. She liked watching the kids go the bungie jumping too. She loved the poicnic.

And the conductor personally invited her to the concert tomorrow!!!! now I have to go LOL

Sounds like your mom had fun at the festival. Hope you did too 2big.

Hadn't read the previous page's posts and was wondering who the 'him' was in your resistence exercise description! Thought for a min that this thread had turned into something of a Kamasutra until I checked back and saw it was a baby!! (laffs).

Thinking about Michael Jackson now... heavens! The things that man gets up to!

Up to scratch on walks and exercise. Also just done a big garden cleanup. Reckon that counts too! Up to date on DANDR too.

I started Pilates, 30 minutes every day. Hopefully I'll be able to do more when I'll be in a better shape.
I'm actually doing mon-sat and taking sunday as "lazy day" since I can wake up later

So far my muscles are sore and hurting but I feel good cause I know it's a "good hurt". They needed to MOVE

OK, tried both of these, he LOVED them. I had been doing kind of the arm one, but more up too, and it kind of freaked him out, but these are perfect, and I'm a lot more controlled. I could only do 6 at a time of the arm one. The leg one I did 10. I also held him straight out in front of me and did 10 squats. Awesome feeling on the tops of my thihghs The other ones, I don't know, I think I'm strong enough, but he was too squirmy on those. But this is a great start. Thank you SO much for the inspiration!

both of them one in each hand and do flys and do curls too. LOL. I actually tried this knowing I probably couldn't, but we were all laughing too hard. Nicky (3) esp just couldn't stop gigling and kept trying to climb me. So insteadI put Benji down and stood Nicky on his head and lifted him stright up by the ankles, and then laid back down and put him on the flats of my feet and bent him way over my head. My dad always used to call it the airplane, but I did it a lot more controlled. Awesome.

It was pretty entertaining for DH too, actually. Everybody wins

Tried Papa Murphy's deLite chicken mediteranan pizza for supper. Delicious, but it's still 11 carbs per 1/12 pizza, so not much bang for your buck. I will do the same toppings though on the deep dish cheese crust one from LInda's site, its a great combo of ingredients.

So, our hotel night was fantastic. So nice to just talk about nothing and be grown ups and not rushed or rushing. Steak Oscar with green beans for dinner, mmmmmm. Red wine too. I also, I'm not afraid to tell your girls, felt totally sexy for the occasion. I wore shorter than I normally would demin shorts and a snug tank with laces at the cleavage. Yum.

Then I got up early (dang biological clocks...can't sleep in even when I can!), and went down to the fitness room. I tried the treadmill. I walked at a 2.5 incline (whatever that means), a 4 mph pace (because that's what I do in WAHP), told it my weight and everything, and walked for 20 minutes. The computer said I burned 120 calories. Is that RIGHT? I mean, my heart rate was at my 65-70% of max w/in about 5 minutes, I was dripping wet by the time I was done. For 120 calories??? Really??? Guess I'm glad exercise DVD's don't give you that info!!!

Sally, I'm not really going to go the "one last push" idea. I am not really sure this goal is going to be the finish line, for one thing. For the other, I really do buy that slower is better, and the last few haven't really slowed down naturally. So, doing what I'm doing is working, and I may even try harder TO slow down the last few.

Hi Roshen! I have never tried pilates, hope to hear how you like them.

Good job on the steps ladies. Are these just flights in your normal day, or do you seek out stairs to climb?

I did that funny treadmill this am, tonight I'll do 8min buns/legs/stretch.

Have a meeting tomorrow about a promotion. Wish me luck. TT you all tomorrow
What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

Msnicksmom... you're right that slower is better for so many things, weight loss included. Don't see too many people who embrace that though on this bulletin board! I too was raring to go at the start, then as I got nearer and nearer goal, speed didn't seem to matter any more, except in the personal satisfaction of reaching a figure I'd set myself as target. Smiles...
Just love your 'exercising with baby' btw.... such fun!

Hey Jimmie! Hello! I see you down there, only a couple of flights below me! Soon I'll be looking up and seeing you disappearing towards the top! Yay for you! Oh... and is that my name I see in your siggie??? Wow... fame at last!

Msnicksmom...The stairs I do are real ones, as I encounter them in my life, though some do the stairmaster (I think that's what it's called) exercise machine. The challenge is a lot of fun and encourages me to avoid lifts (elevators to you Americans) wherever I can. I get to the tops slowly, but every little helps!

i moved to a house with an upstairs and that's what brought all this on. the girls here confirmed it would be a great thing to do for any of the members, expecailly for those that aren't to the point of situps and puchups. i was counting each time i came upstairs but decided, at least for the virtual buildings, that i would try to so many in succession. now i do all the flights i am counting in sucession and i am, for the most part, doing them every other day. i bike on the other days. i was doing 20 per day so now i do 40 (or so) every other day.

wow! i caught up with you quick! that's because of the way i am counting them now. i went from zero to 40 in one day. i'll grab by ya by the belt loop and pull up.

glad you and your little ones are having run. you can do the staight up from your chest lifts of him too. those are shoulder presses. fly him high and then bring him down for a kiss too just make the going up about seeing how high he can reach to help him not be afraid.

My dad used to lay in bed and fly us on his leg too those right and left turns we wanted usually ended in crashes LOL

Jmmie treadmill is my time! me myself and I, only free time I have is exercise time right now. like going to the fair was Mother driven we saw the events and displays she wanted to and didn't see any she didn't want to. She was hungry we waited in line she wasn't thirsty we didn't. it is like having a two yr old except you can't punish or behaivor modify this two yr old cause she is full grown, has rights by law, forgets what happened, cand unlike a 2 yr old doesn't want to please you. Alzheimer is a terrible illness. i wish Nancy Regan had been more public about what it was doing to President Regan but she didn't want to tarnish his image and have the world remeber him as a feeble stumbling unable to remeber, communicate howhe wanted to, or follow directions adult and I can understand that as i try to protect my mother and avoid situations where I know she will be out of her element with her friends.
