      i just have to say, today in this house, it's the 14th no matter what the calendar says! i've been a day off all week long, no sense changing now!

          i got 70 minutes of biking in today
          12 miles and burned 703 calories

          i did a 2big too. today was bike day but i went ahead and did 5 flights.
          I'VE BEEN 2BIGGED!!!!!

          today was everything but bike day but i did it anyway.... that's a 2big

          riding the bike is allowing me the good time to read. no distractions from the tv and jack isn't home wanting anything.

            LOL I'll make an exercise addict out of you yet. geez you have come a long long way from that ADBBer Barb had to harrass ( is that the right word maybe badger) is better to get to join the 6WEC way back.

            I used to walk on my treadmill while ADBB was chatting way back just cause it kept me from eating. can't type and eat while walking at the same time as my first 2BIG of your type.

            I am loving my treadmill and it loves me back everyday but Sunday with a great workout.

              barb pestered me! that's the word! PESTERED! she is such a brat. lol
              i love her though even though she is a brat and a pesterer!

              i am just not satisfied with how i am yet. i don't care if i don't lose any more weight. i probably will but i don't care about that. i just want to be in better shape. i signed up for 4 day for the 6 wec but my personal challenge is to do something each day even if it's mowing the grass. it takes me about 40 to 45 minutes to do the yard and some of it is a hillside. pushing mowing that is a work out so sky lets me count that. all my other days so far have been biking or the other stuff that i do.

              i must say, when jack puts his hands around my waist i sure does make me feel good!

                Brook had little mowers back for 6WEC challenge 3 for those of us doing a push mowers.
                good for you turning it all around no change you will end up as one of those 9 folk who gqain it back.

                  Hello ladies. Not at goal just yet, but sallyseachange suggested I hook up here. I have noticed the closer I get to goal, the more likely I am to "count" my real life as my exercise. Don't get me wrong, there is no doubt I'm active and burning great calories, I toss and chase and carry kids every chance I get. Come to think on it, when I'm at the office all day, I can't WAIT to work out, just becuase I haven't been moving all day. So, maybe I just am slipping because we've been on vaca this week. But, just in case I'm slipping, here's the permission slip to (badger? harass? pester?) me about exercise I love the support and accountability.

                  My scheduled exercise is every other day of 8-min Buns/Legs/Stretch, every other day WATP 2 mile. I can only afford 1/2 hour most days, though if I do miss, I can do both together. I have a 26-lb nosy nine-month old who insists on being in my arms whatever I'm doing, so I burn a ton of calories just lugging his butt along...especially when picking up toys. Best squats ever! I also have a 30-lb (yes, that's right, they actually do weigh about the same) 3-1/2 year old who LOVES to ride on my back, ride on my shoulders, get swung upside down, that kind of play, when dad finally takes the babe from my arms, I get a whole dif workout

                  I am sorry, I just picked up the last 2 days. I can't take the time tonight to read 147 pages Happy anniversary Sadie! You look GREAT. I love you smiley after your age...that's SO how I feel when I have to tell someone how old I am. How can I possibly be 32? 32? Seriously?

                  And I celebrated my 14th wedding anniversary this week. Just as weird.

                  ANyway, thanks for the invite to this thread Sally, and look forward to getting to know you all.

                    good to have you join us, denise! this has been a good thread for us. we were so lacking the enthusiasm and willpower (cept 2big) at one point and we analyzed and chatted about why in another thread and this thread is the result of that. we have been working really good together, i think. it's good to have a place where we can report to fellow goalies. you are basically there i see. i know you will want to hit that "magic" number, though.

                      Welcome
                      oh man you get free exercise of the resistance kind using the baby as weights. Just think you can do shoulder presses lifting him over your head. curls bringing him into your chest and tricep extentions lowering him down and if you happen to lay day you could do shest presses too wow a whole upper body workout using the baby as your resistance. And just think as he grows bigger you will be incr4easing the exercise weight and you will be getting stronger muscles to burn more fat

                      Went to the gym this morning and I'm taking Mother to the Secret City festival all day if she stays. She has been like a kid with a carnival. she saw the tents going up Wed when we werre in town and has been bugging me to go ever since. the conceret tonight is blood sweat and tears not sure we will be there then but lots of walking for free exercise

                          it was the temptations last night but she can't do both so today at the festival was more important for her then walking a mile from the parking lot to and from the car carrying chairs in 90 weather. She is to the point I can't drop her and her chair off at the gate park and come back cause she panics while alone.

                            Sounds like a nice day 2big. Hope you and mama have fun. Thanks for the thoughts on resistance specifics, even carrying him around works out so well He does love it when I lay down and lift him above my chest. WOuld love to figure out a tricep workout w/him, how would that work though? The only way I know to do tripceps is to put arms straight up w/weights and then drop back to 90 degrees, so you must be thinking somthing else.

                            Off to the Sheraton to have our anniversary, will talk to you all tomorrw.

                                did 60 minutes on the bike and got chapters 17 and 18 read. started 19 but i'll restart that.
