    Oh, yeah, exercise.

Jimmie, did you say I keep you focussed???

Lunge/squat/pop routine. I NEED to get some more cardio going, just can't seem to get back to that.

Does trying on new clothes and parading around count???
What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

I find maintenance actually harder than the weight loss phase... and keeping my weight graph on an even keel over the months is enough to keep me focused. The weight line wavers wildly day to day...so I only go by the general trend over a couple of months.

Exercise is another focus. I still don't much like doing it, and keeping at it is another 'goal' of a permanent daily nature....

sorry not to be very clear...rushing sooo much these days. No time to think, hardly!!!

Jimmie... so sorry to hear about your itches! I feel for you! I suffer from one horrid allergy to temperature, of all things (cold urticaria). Itches are not fun!

thanks. I did not get to the gym for months after my dad died taking care of Mother but now she is in a "happy" place so things are easier to do like having somebody come stay while I workout. I was jonesing for the gym too as anybody reading my posts at that time knows drool was left in every workout topic

Did my lunge/squat/pop routine w/ Benji in my arms today. Also held him for alomst an hour, my arms and shoulders were aching like crazy. Walked 1/2 mile w/Nicky for coffee

Hope to do cardio tonight. Or a bath. We'll see who wins...

Forgot I had new DVD's from the library to do tonight. It was very exciting. I don't get out much

I got 8-min Abs and Arms. LOL. My tummy is WEAK. Arms I did OK on, just felt a bit uncoordinated, but not too bad. But the abs were a JOKE. He said 45 secs on each movement...I did make it to 10 secs on one of the 12. One. I'll let you know if I try again

yep if you could already hold them 45 secs you wouldn't need him cause the workout would be too easy for you.

did my HIIT today still dragging but sleeping in was out of the question cause my body didn't like skipping the workout last week.
Well my blood results were delayed cause my doc got sick but the thyroid is in normal for me range so my tiredness is caused by something else like MOTHER I'm sure, but I will wait to see what my doc says next week.

Yeah, 2big, it's true...a lack of sleep will cause tiredness Mine were up and down ALL night again last night, I was able to sleep 12-2 and then 4:30-6:30. UGH.

TOM and that kind of exhaustion NOT a good combo. Hopefully haven't had too much damage, and I WILL do my cardio tonight!!!

                  Hugs

Mornin' all! Did one heck of a doggie walk today... 50 mins and more or less climbed a mountain! Also a good exercise routine. Feeling virtuous, given the high temps (up in the 100s in the middle of the day).

Well, got my cardio in ONCE this week. Don't know what the rest will bring, we're going out of town tomorrow til Monday pm. Hopefully I'll just be moving and hauling and chasing kids enough to keep my exercise level up. Not that it's a big deal, but really, if I miss it, I just get to feeling sluggish and borderline depressed. So, think of me you guys, and I'll be back MOnday, have to shop and pack tonight.

                          Hugs

Have fun on your weekend away denise! We go away almost every weekend, we own a cottage..and even though it's my own place and i do all the food shopping I still find it a struggle not to overeat. Usually legal stuff, but just too much. I do try to get in my runs up there too though..but sitting on the dock with a cooler is much more appealing than running 30 mins ona very hilly road in 90 deg heat LOL.

Good for you Sal on the mountain climbing! I find my dog one of my biggest inpirations to exercise. He needs it so i have no choice.

I've been doing fairly well lately with my running, i've been running 15 mins on the boardwalk at lunch with the dog, stopping 10 mins so he can swim/play in the water at the off leash beach, then running back. I'm used to running steady 30 mins, but i figure it should be just as good with the break in there.

I"m trying to commit to myself to try to run every day, even if it's only 15/20 mins, it's still better than nothing.

I haven't been to the gym in 2 weeks because of vacation etc. My gym is pay as you go I don't want to pay for time that i won't be there.

Here's to a great weekend Denise!

Sadie... a cottage sounds lovely! But I know what you mean about the urge to overeat when out of your usual routine. It's the same for me when we go to our 'retreat' (well, working retreat!) in the Aeolian Islands... I get carried away by the relaxed holiday atmosphere and seem to need to buy up a storm and try all the different foodstuffs - legal, of course. Having steered clear of Sicilian cannoli (sooooooo very different from the ones we get in Umbria) for a year and a half feels like a major achievement!!

Lol Jimmie... you know...when I wrote that about climbing, I never even thought of the flights challenge! Pity it doesn't count as reaching base camp of say, Everest! Lol!

                              Keep on hopping everyone!
