        5.4 miles in 1 hour It was a good run for me felt good I felt like I could run for a long time YAY love that feeling. I am still building my base I kinda lost it from my injurey but, the good news is my Body is remember ing what I did. SO I am gunna add a few more miles next week and so on it should be great.

          I am heading out soon for 3 miles or more, depending on how the left hip feels.
          My toes are throbbing since the marathon .. right now they are covered in nail polish and I'm a bit reluctant to peel it off for fear of what's beneath it! But you know me ...

            LOL, betty I feel for your Feet. EEEKKK!! Rubbing them Gently I would give ya a much needed Pedicure if I was around there and a foot massage OH Luxury.

            I picked up 2 more pairs of runner YA I am addicted to Runners now got a fabbo deal on them 2 pairs shipped for 116 bucks Adidas Man they love me. I also bought some trail runners cause I want to start trail running I have been on the treadmill sooo long I want some Scenery. I thought HMMM like this and SO I bought some shoes especially for it I want to be sure my feet are Protected. Also got another Pair of Runners Just running that I can break in. I am gunna start going through shoes like mad again here soon. It was a pair every 2 months there for a while so I ahve backup now HE HE.

              That's great you have a backup pair! What a luxury! I never seem to have a backup .. I just go through 'em like water!!

              I ran 5.3 miles tonight without any residual pain leftover from the marathon. So I am pretty gosh-darned excited to have recovered that quick!!

              Most marathon recovery websites say not to run at all the first week after a marathon, but you guys know that ain't gonna fly with ME!! I've managed 8.4 miles this week which is pretty good. Saturday I hope to go at least 5 or 6 .. we'll see.

              Gotta work up slowly!

                Yup take er easy girl But, I can't say much I would do the same.

                AY I buy Lots of SHoes I don't wanna be stuck with sore feet and back cause I didn't have extras so when I can afford it I go nuts and buy 2 pairs at a time.

                  Sarah, do you have a "favorite" pair of shoes? Adidas? What model? Just curious.

                  I've only strayed from New Balance once and lived to regret that decision, ending up with a HUGE blister on my left arch. I do have skinny feet, so I appreciate how New Balance shoes offer narrow sizes.

                  I saw alot of people at the marathon with Brooks .. have you ever tried them?

                    I have adidas and it doesn't seem to matter which ones. I ahve narrow feet too and I have Tried New Balnance but they didn't fit my foot quite rite and left me with sore Toes also The pair I had had too large of a toe Box and were too wide. I stick with the ones I love. Nike don't love me the way they are made doesn't fit me too thin in the arch so my feet hurt, and Reebok well I won't go there. I have never tried Brooks and like you I don't stray once you find a shoe that rocks you stick with them.

                    Everyone has such different feet so hey if you like NB that's what ya use and I like Adidas that's what I use. I am also an Overpronater on my right foot and their stability shoe is light and also has a ton of Cushionong in the Forefoot which I need.

                          Saturday: 6.33 miles on the trail. With the marathon and other running this week, that gives me a total of 40.7 miles for this week. THAT'S ENOUGH!

                                SARAH is sick again I have a chest infection my immune system is the shits I am going to get oregano oil and also vitamin c I can't be like this any more I HATE it. I was told to take 1 tablet every hour till I start to get bowel issues then taper off. I am willing to try it if it makes me feel better. You all know me and I can't stand being sick and laid up.
