HAPPY FIRST FULL WEEK IN MARCH!!

Can you believe, spring is ALMOST here! And you know what follows that, don't you? Yes, SUMMER! Which is gonna be a hot and miserable one here in west central Florida, so I know I gotta get out there and make the most of these cooler spring days .. COOL? As in 80!!

Rest day for me Sunday .. yesterday we went to Disney's Animal Kingdom and got alot of walking in after I ran the 6.3 miles in the morning. So a good cross training day!

    Tomorrow, its back out there!

Have a great week of running, everyone!

Re: Cool Running for the week of March 5, 2006

After reading these threads for several months, I have decided to show my face. In the summer I run at least 5 times a week - averaging about 4 miles a day and on weekends run sometimes 6 miles. Not a huge runner but hey I get out there. I am ashamed to say that over the winter, I have slacked off and haven't done any running. Well last week I started running on my treadmill - kind of hoping it will bring warm weather to the north ( I am in Vermont). I started out slowly and have been running since last Wednesday and have been doing 2 - 3 miles a day. Whew - I forgot how quickly you can lose your stamina but boy does it make you feel good after you are done. I have to say that reading all the threads about running here has certainly inspired me to get back out there so I am hoping that by posting here it will hold me accountable and keep me motivated. Thank you Betty and Sarah for being inspiring me so much (and all the others also)!
      Happy Running.....along with low carbing....

Betty, I didn't say it before, but I am SO PROUD of you for your marathon finish! You just inspire the heck out of me, I had tears in my eyes reading about it. :boggles: Also, the day of your 15K is the day I'm doing the Cincinnati Flying Pig Half Marathon! What a great coincidence, since you're such a huge inspiration to me.

Been having computer problems lately, so I've been scarce around here, but I'm still at it! 5 miles last night and it was probably my best run ever. I just felt so strong and the weather was cool and perfect. It was a great run.

Grrr... was planning on 4-5 miles last night but my shins were just NOT having it so it was .5 instead. After that I did some walking, biking, and the elliptical, then my weights class. I was NOT HAPPY about it!
