Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding 101 for week of March 6th

Cypress, if you look in my journal stats you'll see that I started out low too...and how quickly I've added weight. I'm just 2.5 weeks into it and Ive already got to go out and buy some more weights to add to my bar.

I really love the changes it's made in my body, and it's really helped with my weight loss too. I'm convinced.

And look at those pictures of Jas...she's come a long way in a short time too, from February to March.

Oh Jas, I noticed you are doing the arm/leg lifts. Have you been doing them all along or did you just start doing them?

I'm addicted to those...I feel like I'm really pushing my abs with them. I do alot of cussing on the third set though LOL

I just started them tonight. Trying some new exercises as I can from the BFL site, that one looked good. It burned!

If your body reacts like mine did...wait till tomorrow afternoon and the next day. They'll be sore. Of course, you are already doing sit ups, and I wasn't, so maybe you'll be better off than I was.

Hey Joe, the Reverse Crunches work the Lower abs Really well what you do is lay on the floor with your legs up straight kinda like in an L and tighten your abs and Lift your Bum, they really define the lower abs and are a great way to trim and shape that area.

Oh Jennifer, these girls are doing so great and you will also it will come with Practice really that's why we start slow I don't wanna injure anyone and you surely don't wanna be benched. My little Jas has answered you perfectly you should definately feel it by the last 2 to 3 I would not worry too much the first few times you do it I just want to be sure you are lifting Correctly the weight comes after. When your form is good you will natually feel more comfortable lifting heavier but, don't push it if you are not sure.

Like Jas said a while back doing the form part is amazing she says that she stands taller now cause of it, which is really awesome you will find you stand taller too when correct posture is maintained and it gives you a somewhat of an ego boost and confidence boost. HE HE

You are all doing so great I am sooo PROUD of all of you.

                  WAY TO GO!!!

I think you should listen to your body, you're still not 100% and you need rest. You get around so much and you exercise soooo hard, it's no wonder!

Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding 101 for week of March 6th

Curves today. (handwashed dh's truck, pushed 3 yr old on tricycle for at least a mile, walked 8 month old in stroller for a mile while trying to keep up with 3 yr old) I know that part doesn't count but ya'll might get a kick out of it anyway!

BTW, when I list Curves, I do 3 circuits - not the two they recommend. So that is 45 min.

Question about that too Sarah. What should my heart rate range be at Curves? They have this big poster on the wall for all different ages and I am always higher than what it says I should be. Does that mean anything or is there something I should be educating myself on?

Tomorrow - Lower body. I am excited!

Also, dh is looking through a magazine that sells used equipment so he can get me an at home set up with free weights. He doesn't really care one way or the other about me losing weight, I think. He just LOVES to buy stuff! Oh well, it works out best for me anyway, right? It'll be good to have the stuff at home b/c I will NEVER have an 'excuse' not to do it! What type of equip. do you recommend, Sarah? Dumbells, bar weights etc..What weight ranges should I be looking for? Any help will me most appreciated as usual!
