Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding 101 for Week of April 3rd

Thanks for your help. I am very excited to get started. My only question is(hope it isn't a stupid question):

When you say pick one exercise for each body part..would that include for example upper, lower, middle deltoids for shoulder exercises? One for the upper, one for the lower and a separate exercise for the middle deltoid?

    Thanks again.

Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding 101 for Week of April 3rd

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been around this week yet. The time change threw me for a loop and I had to go over to a conference in Orlando yesterday. Excuses, Excuses! I'll be back to my routine this afternoon!

Love2play--welcome!! I don't know what Sarah is going to say in response to your question--but I just pick one exercise for the area. For instance in shoulders--one workout I'll do rear deltoids, the next upperbody workout I do the front. The next I do the middle. I change the exercise each time, especially for the shoulders to work the different muscle groups. I don't do all three during one workout. Now, this might change since I'm moving up to the next level. I'm starting my second 6 weeks today.

Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding 101 for Week of April 3rd

Yup exactly when I say 1 exercise It's 1 exercise This is Beginner Program so we don't concentrate on doing all that till later like for chest Just Pick a bench press, Shoulders Shoulder press, Triceps tricep extensions, Back Seated Rows, Biceps Hammer Curls. ANd you do 12 reps for each exercise the first few weeks it should be fairly easy like I say in my first post on this thread. We do not want to Compromise form for weight EVER!! When you get into more advanced workout Which I am going to do next each Body part has 1 day and you pick 5 exercises for each Body[art so you get to concentrate on each thing front,Back, lower, upper middle. K

There is never a stupid Question Just ask away HE HE. Oh and always make sure every time you are doing a different exercise just caiuse you like one exercise don't do that every week try and pick different each week. Of course you can go back and do the same after a couple weeks but don't repeatedly do the same exercise your body gets used to it and we want to shock it.

I have to tell you From doing legs yesterday I am a little sore But my arms are sore as all heck MAN alive lifting up the weights I needed really worked out my arms and My lower back LOL. Well who knows maybe this summer I can go to the gym.

Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding 101 for Week of April 3rd

Sarah, somehow I didn't get my ticker changed last week when I weighed. I lost 1.4 lbs this week. Virtually no inches lost, but I changed up my routine last week and really wasn't expecting anything. I'm also at a weight where I normally start losing really slowly...we shall see how it goes.

Hey 1.4 pounds is Awesome I would love to lose that every week I am losing sooo slowly it's nutty but, I am in this for the long haul so if it takes me 2 years or more to get to goal then so be it HE HE So long as I get there the slower ya lose it in the end the more likely you are to keep it off so why not. This is not a diet any more to me this is a way of life so I am gunna do this forever'
