Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding Week of May 8th

I have tried looking at the body for life site and honestly, I just don't get it! I would love longer lifting sessions. I don't know how many more days I can do, I only have Sunday as a rest day as it is! I'm going to go see if I can make sense of the BFL workouts again, I feel like an idiot when I look at it, none of it makes sense to me! You give such specific, easy to follow instructions, they just don't know how to do workouts for dummies!

I might print out the worksheets they have for tracking exercise and see if I stare at them long enough, if they make more sense! LOL

So, a newbie question for you Sarah.

Is there a reason why you shouldn't do both upper and lower body workouts on the same day, just one rest day inbetween? Or maybe it's okay to begin, but when you start lifting heavier do you need longer rest periods in between?

LOL. Pam HE HE, I'll help you through it But honestly not today I was up all night with a sick Puking Kid I am sooo tired he is sleeping NOW and I ahve been a BAD mommie sleeping on the couch having the Other little one watching TV. LOL OH man. SHe is being sooo good I can't tell ya.

The reason for the rest is more Preferance Most People don't like doing all Body Parts in one day it takes a long time like over 1 hour so if ya Break it up into smaller session You are more likely to stick with it.

Shelly if you are really Loving the Weights and wanna do legs 2 times a week every week Keep doing what you are doing But do 2 weight sessions Back to Back like this K.

                  Monday Upper Body Cardio
                  Tuesday Lower Body
                  Wednesday Cardio
                  Thursday Upper Body
                  Friday Lower body cardio
                  Saturday Cardio
                  Sunday Rest

Be sure You have a rest day in there and Just repeat that for 6 weeks then we can change it up for you again.

Does that look like it would be AOK.

I ahve a headache I was planning a LONG run today But that's not happening.

Oh OH did I tell ya I am gunna be doing some drawing for someone on the Board How exciting. I got all my stuff last night and Am gunna work on doing the outline tonight so I can work o it tomorrow. AT the dance rehersal SAY A HUGE PRAYER that the rest of my kids DO NOT get sick for Saturday and Sunday

Re: Sarah's Bodybuilding Week of May 8th

                    Hi Sarah,

Okay, I'll stick with the schedule, and you're right it would probably make for a really loooong weights workout. And I do like the 2 lower body and 3 upper...with the cardio and HIIT...I think it'll make up for the 1 less lower body workout a week.

That's exciting about doing the drawing, we need to see a picture when you're done (if that's okay with the buyer that its).

I hope your little one is feeling better, and that you get some sleep this afternoon! And yes, positive thoughts about no others getting the crud!

                    Take care!

Thanks Sarah...it really does feel good too! I'm anxious for today's workout!

You're doing great, with all the crapola that's been going on, you've held it all together, you should be very proud of yourself!

And with your 1/2 marathon so close, I'm sure that's been taking a lot of energy. You had to cut back on weights the last time you did the 1/2 didn't you? I'd think just to allow time for all of the marathon training, you'd have to! And I'm sure you won't lose any muscle, you're so consisent with working out, you can handle the changes without missing a beat!
